  • Great value, works as it should.
Style: 632UAB Detachable Face
Needed a replacement for an old BOSS radio. I was able to unhook the other one and plug this one right in. Works well, has Bluetooth and a remote with it. Comes with everything you need to install, including the wiring harness. The radio face can also come off for those using it in boats. I installed this in a golf cart. ... show more

  • Unexpectedly Great!!
Before buying this unit I spent some time searching and reading reviews about various products then I decided to go with this unit not because was the cheaper but because was the one with strange-mixed reviews. Some were highly positive some defined the unit as a cheap of plastic, some others said that was heating a lot, some were saying that the volume was resetting at each startup, some other said it never turned on, others said that the manual was not comprehensible, someone said that there were hisses/noises/static sounds... ... so now it's time for my review. Note that I gave to this product 5 stars because to me we are talking about a Great Great Great Great product for the paid price but it's also important to specify my set-up: 1997 Town & Country LXi with Infinity Sound System - I am sure that the Infinity AMP is contributing! Initial Note: I don't usually read manuals as I am quite expert on how to install this kind of units as I always changed them in my cars and but this time I read it just to see if was really not understandable as many people said: I got surprised it was in a good plain english!! Just 2 dyslexic-words but was ok! Another positive note goes to Amazon itself as I received my order 6 days earlier also if I live in a remote place of this Planet.. but let's continue with the review... As the specs say, an AMP is not required but highly recommended: I agree. With an AMP the sounds doesn't feel cheap at all. Once I got it connected manually and got the AMP to turn On - notice that the instructions all around the web are wrong, to let the Infinity AMP to turn ON you have to connect the AMP cable (green-black) with the TWO GROUND CABLES (black from the unit with black-green AMP and Silver stripe all together) and NOT with the BLUE External Antenna one - I had to lower the volume and to bring down basses to 0. Then I just turn on the Loud to on and moved treeble to +5 for a crispy and warm sound. This unit has also an EQ but I left it at OFF as it was just muffling the sound: Too much basses. Believe me OFF, Bass to 0 and +5 Treeble do the magic! Radio works flawlessly without hiss/noise - The VOLUME doesn't GO up or down if the signal strength change, at least it's not different from the Infinity Stock Radio. SD Card works immediately, just put one inside and switched automatically to SD and start to play. - Also there, no noises or hisses. USB Thumb Drive - Connected and as it was a 8 gb one full of other things other than music it took a bit more of time to prescan the content of the thumb drive but once done a pleasure for my ears was the result! AUX - That's tricky, as people may think that you can connect your iPod/iPhone and you may able to control it from the unit: WRONG - But.. it works good too. I am really baffled, because I was not expecting such quality, I don't know if it's the Infinity doing most of the magic but I can tell you that the unit sounds much better than the stock Crysler's one. I am not having issues it just works! The installation was a bit of a pain but the problem there is not the unit itself, the problem is the dashboard. The Radio cable is too short as well it's not well explained how to connect the AMP to turn on. However... if you have a Town & Country, Caravan, or whatever car with an AMP/Infinity... follow my advice and buy this unit because you will get premium sound for a really low price! My Test: Pearl Jam: Ten - Aerosmith: Essentials Disc 1/2 - Deep Purple: Made in Japan and lot of Classic Music. I want to add something else here: This unit is a mechless one, means that there is no mechanic involved hence no DISK player, the quality of the music is all up to your library. If you have badly ripped disc to MP3 they will sound bad, if you have high quality mp3s they will play perfectly. Do not blame the unit if your mp3s are bad quality, the fact that they play well on your phone doesn't means that are good quality. The speaker of a mobile phone, also if it's a flagship/high end, tend to cover many issues and cannot be compared with a stereo set of speakers! ... show more

  • Fantastic!
So I got this head unit to replace the stock one in my 1990 Ford F-250. It's an extended cab but only had the two speaker option including 2 speakers in the doors...6.5"ers, instead of the 4 speaker, with those, and two more 6x9's in the rear walls. I wanted a simple deck and figured I never use CD's anymore, and never use tapes..all I use is my MP3 player and the radio. So I bought this deck with the thought that I'd use a 2GB SD card I had to load all the music onto in folders and have my own MP3 player built into my truck. Wow, is all I can say. This unit is great. The price is low because there's way less moving parts and stuff than CD or Tape loaded decks but you still get the quality and power output of a higher priced deck. $35 and you get a true 50watts/ch, rca audio output, and a good looking radio. I also didn't want anything too flashy or bright, because I hate all the other decks that flash every color of the rainbow at you and give you a seizure while you're driving. It puts out enough power for my Polk Audio db651s's, and I have a FLI Audio sub hooked to it too and that works great. I've been using it since February and installed the sub in April, and so far I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have over 150 songs that I have in genre named folders. The only things I wish was that it had were a dedicated subwoofer control, so I could turn my main speakers bass down when I wanted the sub to really pump. A little higher volume, because on certain songs I have it at 40 with no distortion but I want higher. Also I wish I could change the displays little VW bug hah, because I drive a large diesel truck and that always confuses people. And finally, I wish you could see the backlit clock in the daytime. It's not a problem with dimmer, it just simply isn't visible in the daytime. All in all, great product, and all my friends who see it think it's awesome, simple to use, and want one for their trucks! ... show more
