  • Great treadmill, heavy duty.
Style: CTM5104
I’m really impressed with this treadmill! The 15% auto incline and powerful 3.5HP motor make workouts feel challenging and effective, whether I’m walking or running. The wide 20" belt is very comfortable, and it feels sturdy even at higher speeds. It was also easy to assemble with two people, even though it’s quite heavy. I also love the Bluetooth speaker and how easily it folds up—perfect for home use! ... show more

  • Robust basic machine for good value
Style: CTM5104
These comments are for the model CTM5104 treadmill. The treadmill arrived well-packaged and in good condition. The box was extra-thick cardboard, with lots of styrofoam and plywood side panel pieces for extra rigidity. The FedEx driver said she was worried about delivery due to the bulk and weight, but she knew she'd have help when she saw that a signature was required. Assembly was trivial and only required a few screws to secure the folding sections in place. The only separate pieces were the two plastic base panels. Tools are included but I used my own. I didn't measure the actual incline before testing the functionality of the unit, but after testing the speed and incline functions, I returned the incline to what the display said was zero. I then noticed that the actual incline seemed higher than zero, and the incline piston had about an inch of unused travel, with no obstructions under the unit, and space apparently available for further decline. I measured the incline geometrically using a carpenter's level and a metric tape measure to get the standard rise-over-run numbers to calculate the slope (incline). The actual incline was 6.1%. This is too much incline for a "zero" setting. To compensate, I place a 2.25-inch high block of wood under the back corners. This block must be long enough to accommodate the forward and backward motion during incline and decline. With this block, and with the incline display at zero, the actual incline was 1.1%, which is acceptable. With or without the block under the back corners, the total range of inclination measured 7.7% across the full display range of 0-15%. (As expected from the math, without the wood block, the actual inclination ranged from 6.1% to 13.8%, i.e., a 7.7% differential. With the block, it ranged from 1.1% to 8.8%.) Also, the actual inclination wasn't linear with the displayed scale, i.e., a 0 to 5% display changed the slope 3% (from 1.1% to 4.1%), 10-15% changed it 2.5%, and 10-15% changed it 2.2%. This might only be an issue if you are using two different treadmills and you want to use the exact same inclination on both. My wife and I use this treadmill for walking, for which the 20-inch wide belt and 48-inch length are perfectly adequate. I like having the convenience of speed and incline controls on the hand arms. The pulse sensor is okay but as the manual states, it's not a medical device; the reading seems to depend a bit on which part of my hand is in contact with the sensors and how tightly I grip the handle. The display is pretty nice, with large numbers for speed and elapsed time. On the lower left, it shows inclination while it's being adjusted, and then shows pulse rate continuously. The lower right shows calories and distance, alternating every 5 seconds. I wish there was a way to select distance for continuous display. The treadmill has been functioning well. We wanted a treadmill with all the basic functions, with no requirement to connect it to the Internet, and this one serves nicely. It arrived with the belt tension and position just fine, so no pre-use adjustments were needed. The unit looks nice, and seems to be very sturdy and robust. The 3 HP motor may be more than we need, but I wanted to have power to spare and not have the motor strain under any use conditions, which will probably give greater lifetime without problems. So other than the incline peculiarity, we are very pleased with this treadmill. ... show more

  • Great Treadmill! Very pleased.
Style: CTM5104
I’ve had this Treadmill for a month now. Assembly was great. Quick and easy! I’m very pleased. It is solidly built and quiet. I was worried about the noise because my room is on the upper floor above the living room, but there is hardly any noise. I am a large person, 6’ and 202 pounds and wear a size 11 women’s shoe and the belt has ample width and length. The incline feature is seamless. Incline, speed and mode change easily with a press of a button. The display and features are legible and easy to use. Folding it took me a couple of tries but now it’s a breeze!! Highly recommend! Great value for what you get. ... show more

  • Helping me lose weight and get healthier
Style: CTM5104
This treadmill works well, but can be tweaked to work better. First the pros: 1. The machine was a breeze to set up. Took about 15 minutes by myself. Unbox it, bring the handles/controls into place, and bolt them tight. As others had said, though, if you're moving it up/down stairs, you'll need 2 (preferably fit) people. 2. It is a solid machine. Stays put while in use (and I do sprints during HIIT's). 3. Controls are easy to use. The choice of using preset speeds and % Incline is convenient and fast. 4. I wanted to get in better shape and lose weight, and this machine is helping me do both. Cons: 1. The heart rate feature is HORRIBLE. Incredibly inaccurate, and awkward to use. The instructions say to grip it for 30 seconds for an accurate reading. At 30 seconds, it read 90 BPM, while my EZON chest strap and watch monitor read 145-150 BPM. At 60 seconds, the treadmill was still 35-40 BPM low. The treadmill monitor is also awkward to use. When you're getting tired, it's easy to miss the grip, and bump the setting for speed or incline instead. Borgusi, if you're reading this, making the side rails longer would help the bumping issue. 2. Along the same line, all the machines that I've used at the 2 gyms I've belonged to in the past were able to read your chest strap monitor without the need for using the watch part. This machine does not. Save yourself the aggravation and buy a separate monitor. This way you'll be able to monitor your heart rate without interrupting your workout. 3. As others have mentioned, the track does not sit at 0 degrees. It did when it came out of the box, but never again after I used it. I don't care, it technically helps you get a better workout (a tad more resistance), but you'd think with all the feedback about this that the company would fix it. It makes no difference in my routine whatsoever. After walking/jogging at 3-9 degrees (per the controls), being half a bubble off is irrelevant to me. Overall, if you're trying to get in shape, this treadmill will do it. It's a solid machine for the price. I'd recommend getting a separate heart rate monitor to improve your workout, though. After 2 weeks of using the treadmill, I've lost some weight and have better endurance for working around our farm. Late tip: I've been using the treadmill for about 2 months now. I've had to tighten the tread twice, which is probably normal. When I put new belts on the tractor, they have to be tightened as they get broken in, too. An allen wrench is included for this, tells you to check it in the manual, but thought I'd add a note here to remind others. So far I've lost 10 pounds. YAY! ... show more

  • Quality treadmill
Style: CTM5104
This heavy duty treadmill is easy to set up and works great. The large display is nice and clear and it shows all the parameters you ever want like time/speed/distance etc. It can also monitor your real-time heart rate which is a must have feature. The controls are easy to use, I really like the OneTouch Auto Incline & Speed Control so you can choose any preset speeds to suit your needs. Overall a well built quality treadmill for your exercise needs and recommended. ... show more

  • A high quality product at an affordable price.
Style: CTM5104
I wanted a treadmill that was as close to a commercial one so that I can run, but at an affordable price (less than $700). I was pleasantly surprised because this one is very solid, smooth and simple to operate. It feels like a gym treadmill and is of high quality. The 3.5HP motor is critical for being able to run and this treadmill has more length and width than others that cost more. I have run on it only 3 times, but so far it is very stable and user friendly. I have not folded it yet and will not likely need that option so I can't comment on that. I will say that it arrives well packaged and protected, but it is close to 300lbs. in total. It says 150lbs and maybe once it is all set up it is closer to that, but just be prepared. You will need 2 very strong people to bring it inside or a commercial dolly because the box is long, wide and as I said, heavy. ... show more

Treadmill was packaged extremely well and very thoroughly. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Was easy to set up and get started rather quickly. Treadmill is great. The grippy tread is superb! Would recommend it to other users.

  • Treadmill failed within a year. Borgusi supplied parts to repair. Motor failed again within a year.
Style: CTM5104
Update to review, 11/15/24. Two weeks ago the treadmill quit working. It is still within the one year warranty. I have been trying to contact the company for a week and a half through the Borgusi website and email to find how I can get it fixed. I Have not gotten a reply. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service efforts. I would recommend to others to not buy Borgusi products. Original review below. 12/20/24 Borgusi sent me a new motor and circuit board. I had to replace them myself. It wasn't too difficult. The treadmill is back up and running. Hopefully it will last. Update 11/9/25 The motor burned up again. Treadmill is going to the curb. Do not buy this treadmill. This treadmill has a motor that is 3/4 horsepower greater than the Proform it replaced. The weight capacity is 50 pounds greater. Set-up was easy and quick. The controls are easy and quick. There is no sales pitch to navigate through to begin your workout, just turn on the power and hit start. There are 15 preprogrammed routines. There are controls on the handles to raise or lower the speed and incline. The Bluetooth speaker is a nice feature. It is odd that at zero incline the walking deck is actually inclined. I blocked it up in the rear three inches to make it level. I made a fixture to raise the rear one and a half inches which is manageable. The buttons on the handles are a little too close to the grips where I put my hands and would accidently hit them on occasion. I put a couple zip ties in-between the rear button and the grip with the blocks up to keep my hands away. Overall, I am happy with the treadmill. It is a sturdy unit for the money. The downsides are easily rectified. ... show more
