When my Mom needed new dining room chairs, and we couldn't find anything she liked in the local stores, I knew I was going to have to order chairs online. How scary! I'm not used to buying furniture like this that you have to assemble yourself. I was nervous. But... it turns out I worried for nothing! We chose these chairs for several reasons: their style, which was impossible to find in the stores, their dark walnut color, and their price. The style is simple and quite pretty; also very functional. They have soft edges, which I love. They are very user friendly. They feel nice in your hand when you pull them out from the table. They are steady and have a nice weight to them. The color is rich and beautiful and matched my Mom's table perfectly. They also lend themselves well to cushions. We used the kind you tie on the the back. The chairs are easy to clean, if needed. The height is just right for a standard dining table. As for assembly... it wasn't that bad. My husband and I took the afternoon and put four of them together. The hardware and pieces were clearly marked and the directions made sense. We needed four chairs, so bought a couple of the 2-packs. Nice sturdy and wooden chairs. However, I ordered two pair sets (at different times,) and the price went up within 6 months on the 2nd set I ordered, to complete my 4 chairs set for my dining room table.

this was purchased with a hope of being good (not great) but in reality, it turned out to be bad quality and not a value purchase. TLDR: these are low quality with a lot of assembly that results in poor chairs that are not worth a purchase: Full Details: purchased and used these for just under 6 months. These are already not doing well with one out of commission. the other is going fast. the assembly is not inuitive and the instructions are very much lacking. the screws are much too long for the way these are pre-drilled and results in the ability to overtightened, which results in the screw poking out of the outside of the leg, etc. the bolts do not stay tight as they don't have locking nuts for many of the assemblies. the wood is very soft, which given the material (rubberwood) was to be expected but it is super soft and scratches/dents very easily. the color is as described and matches an old table, which was the purpose of purchase. the comfort is what would be expected of a wood chair, but quickly goes down as the bolts loosen, the screws come undone. once this happens it is very wobbly. overall, this chair had a lot of promise but it is outside the 30 day return window so I am basically stuck with it. if you want a chair for decoration that matches the color, it is great. if you want a chair to actually be able to sit in and use, look for another. ... show more
