We initially got it to simply update our doorbell, but having motion detection, SD card picture and video storage, a long battery life, and app calling has been amazing! Whenever the bell button is pushed, I get a call on my phone app and can see and talk to the person at the door. It does run on a lithium ion battery, but only needs recharged every few months, so I'm still running through the first charge. This BondFree camara/doorbell unit is fairly easy to setup to your WiFi if you have the 2.4 Ghz. band. The only band that this camara utilizes. It comes with it own independent wireless doorbell chime that is very programmable and gives you many choices like volume control and different doorbell chimes. There is an app you need to download that is free that helps you control the many camara settings and adjustments from your phone. I wish though that it utilized both the 2.4 Ghz band and the 5.0 Ghz band. I had to get out an older phone that only uses 2.4 Ghz band to make this work. Making it able to connect to a 5 Ghz band frequency would make the signal faster. Also most phones today use the 5 Ghz band not the 2..4 Ghz band. As much as I tried to get my new phone to switch to 2.4 Ghz., it wouldn't do it when a 5 Ghz band is available. My router supports both bands. So I did have a little problem with connectivity. In the future, have it support both bands. I would also like to see an adjustment on the lens that is controllable and adjustable. Basically, a zoom in and out function that can be set. It does not need to be optical. This would make the camara much more versatile. Sometimes the limited angles on adjusting the positions of the camara are inadequate. Either too much of an angle or not enough of an angle. The mounting bracket is very limited in adjustments to position the camara. You need to be able to adjust the camara's angle in more positions than what is available. I have found that the camara also needs to be mounted a foot to a foot and a half higher than what is suggested. Otherwise you chop off people's heads in the video! No, I'm dead serious. It uses an SD card up to 128 gbs so you don't have to pay extra for cloud service. That is a very nice feature. It supports live video and two way audio (intercom.) Both very nice features. You can adjust the motion sensitivity on your phone with the app. It supports both video and screenshots. It has a day and time feature that can be set. It supports both SD and HD video. The high definition video is very good. It has night vision that is adjustable. A very nice feature is the ability to recharge the main camara battery. Fully charged, the battery should last 2 to 3 months. It's a good wireless camara/doorbell unit overall that needs some additional improvements and features added to it. I have a security camera system on the front of my house and decided to try this for the back of my house where my packages are dropped off. You download the app as directed in the directions, install the camera where you want it and it’s ready to go. The app on my phone is just confusing. Their aren’t good instructions to navigate the app. I went on YouTube and watched videos, but it just doesn’t clarify everything. I get live videos if someone is at the door, but I can’t get playback videos like on my other system. The doorbell works as it should although most people still just knock. The camera works well enough to capture still shots of my deliveries and that is what I wanted it for. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my front door since there are some annoying teenagers knocking my door randomly. It turns out to be a great purchase. It has the sd card option for me to save the record without any subscriptions. The video quality is excellent as well. A great buy!

Well, ordered this camera doorbell because I got tired of all the porch pirates around here. Camera has full 1080p resolution capabilities, it also has audio both a microphone and speaker in it. The chimer sounds okay, little bit annoying but most of these cheaper doorbells sound that way. The doorbell also takes an SD-card, so that's actually a nice added bonus on this one compared to others I was looking at. Now, let's take a look at the negatives. The app. Why does a doorbell need an app? Really? The app is proprietary, and let's be honest its PROBABLY going to last about as long on the play store (or apple store) as your cheap RGB christmas lights app from 5 years ago...........meaning the app PROBABLY won't be around for the life of the device. Let's hope that's not the case, looking at the manufacturer on that one. With my biggest gripe out of the way, there is one positive redeeming feature on this particular doorbell, that can potentially toss my one gripe out the door. The SD-card slot. I mentioned it earlier. By default, if you insert an SD-card, the doorbell will automatically record to SD, without any problems. This is a HUGE positive for longevity. I'm hoping this means it'll record to SD, even without the app. That's what it appears to be doing so far, I can possibly follow up my review later to clarify for sure if it works that way. But I'm going to assume it does, since there was already stuff on the SD card when I put the app on my phone. Overall, if you're living in an apartment or some other type of rental, this doorbell might be a good option for you. It is a little big and bulky, but it does its job fine. I'd buy this model again, absolutely given that the SD-card works without the app. There's room for improvement of course, but given how simple the device is, I'd easily rate this 4/5 stars. 5/5 stars if it weren't for the app requirement. ... show more
