UPDATE 1/6/26 (after 6 months of use): In the cold winter in the Northeast US, the battery in the doorbell drains quite fast. I'm getting 4-6 days between charges when the temperature is in the 30's or colder. The good thing is that I have an outdoor electrical outlet at the front door so I am able to charge the unit while mounted, so I don't need to remove it and bring it inside to charge. I thought this would be good to know for those who have cold winters. Hot 90 degree weather did not seem to affect it. Awesome product and awesome price! I replaced my Ring doorbell due to concerns privacy. I wanted a video doorbell that did not require cloud storage, and this one with a 128GB microSD card (purchased separately) was the perfect choice. I bought the J1 first to test it out and liked it so much I ordered the J7 too. I now have the J1 set up to view my backyard gate. Set up and installation was a breeze, but I think the instructions could have been clearer or ordered differently so that the description of how to remove the mounting plate was the first thing presented. Sharing the doorbell for alerts with other family members was easy. All the have to do is install the app, create an account (don't set up any devices), then you scan their QR code (they get it in the app) in the app and it invites them to share. Easy to add and share additional cameras, and you can choose which cameras to share to whom. Also the included chime can be paired with multiple Boifun doorbells or multiple chimes can be paired to a single or multiple doorbells. Neat feature. Motion detection works great and is fast to alert you, and I haven't gotten any false alerts. You will get motion notification before the person rings the bell which is great. The picture quality is noticeably better than my Ring doorbell. The security voice changing feature is nice and also amusing. I can't recommend this highly enough. ... show more

Great product. App Easy to sign up and use. Picture quality day and night (with street lights) excellent. We live on busy street with lots of people walking by so at first alerts were quiet often but I was able to adjust area to just within our front porch...cool spatial option. I bought microSD but not sure if it will loop/override once full. I tested doorbell ringing to my silenced iPhone and it works great. Door bell chime inside the house is good, loud lol. Microphone function on unit is good. We've been shopping for awhile for doorbell and glad we got this one without having to pay monthly fee. Hopefully it will last for a long time after their 3-years warranty. ... show more

I am thoroughly impressed with this video doorbell. The picture quality is excellent in both day and night, and the motion detection is incredibly fast—I usually get a notification well before someone even rings the bell. Setup was a breeze. Adding the device to the app was simple, and sharing access with family members is genius. They just install the app and I scan their QR code to invite them. It makes granting access effortless. I also opted for the AI subscription, and it has been a game-changer. It does a fantastic job of filtering out unnecessary alerts, so I only get notified when a person is actually there—no more false alarms from cars or blowing leaves. The Boifun J7 has been a great camera it has effective night vision, easy setup, and great picture quality. My only issue is that thw detection range is not adequate for what I need, but it works well enough. I'm considering getting another for my back porch

My Camera arrived quick, well packaged, in good condition. Set up was fast and very easy. It paired to my right up to my android Samsung Galaxy A54 5G phone and has an easy to manage app. I like the feature that allows you to disguise your voice, good for single Lady's, even for just a different voice. Also having ability to record a message is a cool option I suggest saying "WE" instead of "I" and not saying " not home " but instead some reason for not opening the door like " we dont talk to solictors, Dont leave anything on my door, just leave" by then you'll be able to see who it is and talk live on video. Still not having to open the door. Good video quality even low light and night Not a bad economy value either. I used my own mem card instead of cloud and so far it works well. I deleted often so im not worried of any storage issues. I originally had issues with the battery dieing quick and constant alerts but a quick response from customer service along with suggestion tips, they offered compensation for my dissatisfaction. I tried again relocating the mounting position and now there is no large flashing light Christmas display in view across the street from my house I suspect was an issue for constant alearts. The REPs were quick to reply and were obviously interested with my satisfaction. Thank you. If only more companies were as sincerely concerned and not just wanting your sale.
