I've been buying thses sweatpants for nearly a decade, and the only thing I found wrong wth them is that the pockets USED TO wear out before anything else. Over the past few years, however, this has not been the case. The pockets must be reinforced with a higher percentage of polyester to avoid holes developing in the bottoms of the pockets. That was the ONLY complaint I EVER had with Champion closed bottom lightweight sweatpants. And although they're "lightweight," I have been wearing them with snow on the ground for years. Only intense wind chill permeates these babies. The color selection is a palette I could have personally created: a soothing charcoal, dark navy, and heather...I still have several pairs of each. Of course, it's always a good idea to tidy up the closet with a couple of new pairs every fall. The waistband is snug and has never worn out in the wash to the point of becoming too loose. The length is perfect every time, and the thighs are never too tight, no matter how many hot dryers they visit. They're a classic design, and may not be for everybody...but they became my go-to multipurpose sweatpants a long, long time ago. Three cheers for the Champion! ... show more

    • Great sweatpants, but the pockets are too shallow

Very comfy, and well made, which is what I would expect from Champion. Nice navy color that still looks blue in daylight. One major problem- the pockets are too shallow and my phone slips out of my front pocket when I get into the car. Will not wear this out again, only in the house. I had planned on buying another pair because I liked them so much but the pocket thing is a deal breaker. I ordered some other pants that have zipper pockets. My zipper pocket shorts that I wore on my last trip to Spain helped me to not lose my wallet or phone and they also made me feel safer. I bought these about four years ago at the start of the Wu Flu and they were dead comfy. 100% cotton, and half the price of today. Fast forward to today, and not only are they more expensive, the quality has decreased of course also. The waistband used to be really stretchy and taught, but now the elastic is barely there at all so you need to use the strings to make the pants tighter, which of course decreases comfort. I am a yoga teacher and teach about 5 classes a week. These are great because they are light and roomy. The material is like t-shirt material, maybe a tiny bit thicker but so much lighter than normal sweatpants. They do not have a red band at the top like in the main picture. The only problem I have with these is, when you wash them the drawstrings can come out and get tangled up in all your other clothes. You can put them into mesh bags, or cut the drawstring so it isn't so long. I have bought the little plastic spring loaded drawstring clips and those work nice and they keep the drawstrings from getting tangled in the washing machine and they make them easier to fasten when you wear them because you don't have to tie a knot. Very good value though. They fit me perfect, I have a 42" waist and am @ 240 lbs. ... show more

I use these for working out in the gym. They're thin and not thick and I find that to be pretty useful when keeping cool while working out. Durability wise I've alternated between two pairs of these for working out over the past year or so. They held up through many rigorous workouts and washes without tearing. I did have some issues with the draw string ripping through the fabric but this occurred when I pulled it to tight. It however did not effect the use of the pants too much. The only real downside I've had was that the crouch of the pants started getting holes in them from contact with my inner thighs which overall ended my use of the pairs I had (as they both had the issue). I've run into the same issue with other brands so it's not that big of a deal but these did last through lots of abuse. My only warning is that these are more or less sweat pants to wear above 65 degrees because they WILL NOT keep you warm in anything below that. ... show more
