I love this lamp!! It has a beautiful wide vase of about 5 in wide it is sturdy and heavy and it prevents it from tipping over. It assembles to the lamp very easily without any tools necessary. I love the touch control that allows me to use the photosensitive button or the color brightness button there is a little color indicator on the base that allows you to know which one is working. I love the doll that lets me control the brightness in the lightness I appreciate that it has a one year warranty and a 10% off on your next purchase which is a great bonus. I bought this to function as a lamp when I read and when I color I love the flexibility of adjusting the light exactly where I need it. I am extremely pleased with this lamp and I would highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a desk lamp or a bedside lamp. I will definitely purchase another one in the future! ... show more

I bought this to replace a commercial lamp I purchased from my company years ago that finally died. I did not expect to get one near that quality at this price point, but was pleasantly surprised when I took this lamp out of the box. It's a well made lamp with a nice finish. The controls are very simple and intuitive to use too. I had toyed with the idea of getting a clamp on light to prevent it from tipping and making it easier to bend into position, but most of those have the switches on the lamp head or cord which I did not want. That said the base is a lot lighter than my last light, but it is substantial enough that you can maneuver the light into position without the base moving too much. It also has a nice anti-slip protective padding underneath which help protect the surface of the table it's on and keep the base from moving around too. I would have preferred the neck to be a tad longer although it is long enough to direct light over my chair where I sit to read. I also like the three light settings. I use the warmest setting for when I just want a little mood lighting and one of the brighter settings when I am reading or working on something in my chair. The push button switch/dial knob makes it very easy to turn on and off and adjust the brightness - even with my big hands. I did not really care about the USB port but it's a nice feature to have. There is also an ambient light sensing feature I did not need or use yet, but it might be good for some people. All and all I am very happy with this light. It's not the quality of the $200 light I had previously, but it is easily worth the money I paid so I am very happy with the purchase and can recommend this lamp without hesitation. ... show more

When I received the package, I just knew I’d be returning it - no decent lamp could fit in that little box. I was wrong! It’s a nifty little lamp perfect for the side table by my chair. It’s simple: 3 different light types-white, yellow & blue (I really only use the white one); a dimmer feature; a usb-a port; flexible gooseneck. It’s easy to adjust (as they caution you, adjust the gooseneck, don’t twist the lamp head). Only four stars because I wish the gooseneck was a few inches longer so I could put it further away from the edge of the table. Overall, a good functional little lamp with just the right features. Great reading lamp, sturdy base; won't tip over. The bendable gooseneck maintains rigidity after adjustment. Three color temperatures (candlelight yellow (too warm for me), soft white (the one I prefer), and a cold, fluorescent tube-like bluish white (daylight?) -- too cold for my tastes. Very nicely made, and the dimmer makes things easier. I mostly use the warm setting, but the other two settings are equally effective. I enjoy using it for nighttime reading, but I also look forward to trying it during the day. It doesn't flicker, it was worth the price, and the minimalist look is attractive. I searched through pages and pages of lamp offerings for my small bedside table, then came across this little cutie. It is the right size, love the heavy base and the settings offered. When I get up in the wee hours to visit the "necessary room", I can get a very low light with one touch of a button and it's enough to safely get around the bed and not disturb my husband or our two kitties.
