    • A Terrific Little Lamp

This lamp is actually a little smaller than the pictures make it seem to be, but the gooseneck design makes it work much taller in practice. It comes in a couple of pieces that just snap together; no wiring or screwing together anything. The base has a small footprint, but is heavy enough that the lamp doesn't tip over if you reach to adjust it. The LED light is adjustable for light "temperature" (the color, actually - we keep it on white, as it's brighter), and the brightness can be adjusted by turning a knurled knob on the top of the base, which is also the On/Off button. Excellent design. The shade provides just the right compromise between broad and spot lighting; bringing the light closer makes it more like a directional spotlight. Adjusting the lamphead angle is easy - they say to angle the light by grasping and twisting the gooseneck, rather than the lampshade. Either way, the shade doesn't heat up, so you're not going to burn your hand. The lamp plugs into an adapter that plugs into a standard 120v wall outlet, and the base contains a USB port for charging a digital device. We haven't used it yet. We've had the lamp in use for a couple of weeks, and so far we love it. It's a great value for the price. ... show more

I searched through pages and pages of lamp offerings for my small bedside table, then came across this little cutie. It is the right size, love the heavy base and the settings offered. When I get up in the wee hours to visit the "necessary room", I can get a very low light with one touch of a button and it's enough to safely get around the bed and not disturb my husband or our two kitties. Like a prior review, we were amazed and suspicious about the size of the box this lamp was in when it arrived. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and ease of the minor effort it took to put it together. The light is great and the neck of the lamp long enough to reach over my computer and onto the keyboard which rests below the height of the desk. Exactly what we were looking for.
