Oddly, Perfect Absolute reminds me more of Marc Jacobs Decadence than the original Perfect. The fig reads as a juicy, dark, sweet plum on my skin, and the amber and caramel form a strong, sweet powderiness that feels very similar to the orris note in Decadence (almost powdered sugar-esque). They even share that same faint jasmine thread in the background. Perfect Absolute is definitely sweeter, though, with syrupy fruit and a caramel warmth that coats everything in a very decadent way. The longevity and throw are both strong, and the whole fragrance feels warm, dense, and heavy, making it perfect for colder months. It doesn't transition much; the fruit, sweetness, and powder are consistent from first spray to the final drydown. It's fairly linear, but I'm not mad about it. I really enjoy the dark fruitiness and thick sweetness. I think this is a great choice for someone who loves gourmand notes but wants something that leans more sophisticated than a straightforward gourmand. The velvety darkness makes it feel romantic and evening appropriate, and I think the fig is what brings that slightly seductive quality. I find myself loving this perfume more every time that I wear it. I also love Marc Jacobs' bottles, and Perfect Absolute is my favorite bottle in the Perfect lineup. The deep burgundy wine color is gorgeous, and the cap charms in rich cherry and plum tones are so pretty. I especially love the nearly black cat on the cap (if I'm honest, the cat is why I started to collect these bottles), and since my black cat passed away this year, that detail feels especially meaningful to me. I'm really happy with this perfume purchase.

Love the scent

This is a really nice scent. I was ready to give up on Marc Jacobs even though I really like the scents but there is no smell on me at all. I love Daisy Wild but may as well have sprayed water on so I thought to try this as it may be a stronger scent. I read somewhere that a person with high PH on their skin would have this problem & to rub a little bit of vaseline on the spray points. That seemed to work so although there is little to no sillage or projection, I do have scent & it has lasted longer than 5 minutes. Anyway, this is lovely even if you have to actually smell my skin to enjoy it. I like the travel size so I can afford many different perfumes & they last quite a while. Plus, I can find perfumes in that size I can't find in stores. Good deal.

Absolutely stunning fragrance. I love all the Perfects, and this one is just as beautiful as the others. The bottle is gorgeous and the cap is so fun. This can be pricy but if you get a nice sale or coupon, it is totally worth it. The longevity on this is about the same as the other perfects, a few hours or projections, but you can smell it on your skin all day.
