I got this bedrail to help my father in law when he came home from the hospital after a surgery. It was time consuming to put together but once it was done the rail works as it should. Only one bedrail was included. It looks easy to assemble, but it requires plywood for installation on a metal bed base or wood plats. It's wobbly on plywood, but using the included screws might help. It would be more sturdy on a boxspring. The easy-use red lever that collapses the bars requires some hand strength. It doesn't span the full bed length, but its enough to prevent rolling off the bed. I needed this for a short term for my father who came home from the hospital. He didn’t want a hospital bed because he wanted to be in his own bed, but I was worried about him falling out. These rails came at the perfect time. It took a while for me to assemble it, and I struggled a bit but eventually I was able to get it all put together properly. The rails stay where they should, and it allowed him to be able to turn in bed by himself, which he appreciated.
