When I first contacted the Bodum company customer service to see if I can buy the part (the lost screw) in order to attempt fixing the probem, they responded they did not have the part available, but they wanted to see proof of purchase. I sent the proof of purchase, then after insisting, they responded and ended up with a replacement of the pot, a different one (Douro, porcelain), but better quality, in my opinion. Had the same style pot for many years, and was very upset when a rivet broke and the handle came loose. Decided to get the same pot because I loved it so much. (It really does keeps the tea hot for a long while.) However, I am very disappointed in this particular pot. The spout is not shaped the same as my old one and hot tea runs down the side when I pour. I have to hold a towel under the spout to keep it from spilling on the surface below. I am not sure if it is a defect in this particular pot or it is a new spout design but is definitely different from my first one. ... show more

Good if you like to have a pot of tea - green or herbal - on the go. The nuts attaching the handle to the pot unscrewed themselves in the first week. Luckily I caught this and retightened them. However, if the handle had give way when pouring scalding hot water, it could have caused injury. Check them periodically. ... show more
