BMW OEM part of highest quality at a great part, albeit PITA to fit versus Yakima. Hard to complain about an OEM part fitting onto it's intended vehicle (2022 X5 M50), but what a pain it was getting these things on. I could install our Yakima rack in 5 minutes on our old MB ML350 Bluetec: these took me over an hour. The issue is you cannot get them close then push them into place. I don't know if my M50 package has different horizontal bars than "regular" X5's, but the material on them make for instant grip to the point that though the bar is cock-eyed .. you can't just slide it a few inches to make it straight (and yes -- bars were a full loose for install). I learned my lesson on the first bar that took me close to an hour to finally get off and reinstall and maybe 15 minutes (even with prior knowledge from the first one) to get the back bar installed. Our car was brand new, so possibly if our horizontals had gone through some car washes and just been exposed to the elements they wouldn't have had so much "stick." The Yakima bars we had could be taken apart to the point this wouldn't have been an issue - I think. I'd buy these again as I love the comfort of knowing they were designed for my car. Maybe try putting dove dishwashing soap on your rails prior to installing?? ... show more

    • Bought used and came without keys
They came locked with no keys included. I couldn’t even put them on the car. They looked great sitting on my garage floor though. Returned. Don’t buy used.

These are super awesome. Super easy to install. Keys and everything included. Took my 5 mins to put them on. I also own a Thule Roof Racks for my explorer and these are just as good if not better. What I do like about these is they are BMW manufactured and half the price of the Thule. Feel very sturdy and LOOK GREAT! ... show more

    • Incorrect Mounting Attachments & No Keys
The rails came without keys and had incorrect attachment points (looks like they were designed to go into something rather than attached to the rails).

    • Fits like a glove.
No problem clearing the sunroof. It fits perfectly and it very secure. I had the metal rails on the rack powder coated satin black to match my wife's all black X5 and it looks really good.

Arrived with no keys, therefore useless. Called BMW…they said they don’t support parts, said call Amazon. Amazon said call BMW. Then said return item. Poor packaging, poor customer service at both companies.

    • Racks came without keys
BMW Racks were as expected. Unfortunately, the box was damaged and they arrived without keys on 2 separate orders. Ordered a 3rd time and all was good.
