Excellent Bluetooth scanner connects to its own software or third party for greater data analysis.
Number of Items: 1
This is a pretty good OBD2 scanner that is set up to work with its own software. This is a Diagnostics only scanner which does not have bidirectional communication so you cannot command certain functions to occur. That said, excellent at Gathering complete information. I used it on two different vehicles, a late model GM and a 20 year old Chrysler - with both I got better information readings than from a traditional Elm Bluetooth 327 type scanner. If the data is something being put out by the car's ECU then it is pretty much something you will be able to read. I also tried this using Torque Pro Software and it was able to connect and receive the readings also, it is possible to increase the quality of the software that receives the readings if you choose to do that. The module itself is very rugged and runs off of the power of the vehicle so it has no battery in there is no battery life to speak of. It can be in place while driving and deliver ongoing reading switch it does with high speed. Bluetooth connection is easy and information provided is accurate. This is a very good quality scanner at a mid-price level making it a pretty good value in my opinion. After using it twice I'm highly satisfied and I have it in my portable toolbox for use whenever I need it. ... show more

Handy scanner that checks more than engine codes
Number of Items: 1
I picked up this scanner to get a better idea of what is happening with my vehicle before taking it to a mechanic. Getting it connected to my phone through Bluetooth was straightforward and took only a minute. It is really nice not having to store a large handheld device in the glovebox. The biggest benefit is that it pulls more than just the standard check engine alerts. Being able to read the transmission and airbag codes gives you a lot more information to work with. It also shows live data like coolant temperature and engine speed right on the screen. The dedicated app is completely free to use without any monthly fees hidden behind a paywall. The app layout does feel a little crowded when you first open it up, but it is easy enough to figure out after a few minutes of tapping around. Instead of just throwing random numbers at you, the app actually explains what the alerts mean in plain terms so you know what you are looking at. Just be sure to verify your specific vehicle is fully supported for all the advanced diagnostics before you get it. It is a solid tool to keep in the garage for maintenance and troubleshooting. ... show more

Solid 4-system reader with no subscription fees, but check brand compatibility
Number of Items: 1
This scanner is a solid step up from basic OBD2 readers, especially since it covers ABS, SRS/airbag, and transmission codes alongside standard engine diagnostics. Connecting via Bluetooth 5.1 to the phone is quick and hassle-free, and having a completely free app with no hidden monthly subscriptions or locked features is a huge plus for this price point. The live data and emissions readiness features work well for troubleshooting before a smog check. The main thing to watch out for is compatibility. While engine diagnostics work on most standard OBD2 cars, the 4-system diagnostic feature specifically does not support Dodge, Jeep, Lincoln, or Volvo vehicles. You also have to use their proprietary app rather than third-party options like Torque. For around $46, it is a great value for DIY garage troubleshooting as long as your specific car make is supported. ... show more

Good basic function compact code reader, will clear out many codes but not all, easy to use
Number of Items: 1
I found this to be a nice compact basic trouble code scanner. It won't do anything super advanced like a full OBDII scanner/programmer will naturally, but this is at a much better price point and will cover what most non-mechanic people need it to- read your codes, clear most codes, translate the codes in plain language so you don't have to look up what "P354" means, and gives you some basic digital gauges on your phone via the app. The app isn't overly complex so its easy to navigate and get the info you need. It's as accurate as your vehicles computer is since its getting the readings right from it. It has good cross manufacturer compatibility and a lot of useful functional features on a basic level. I think its a decent buy if your looking to save yourself a trip the the auto parts store to have them read your codes for you and connectivity with this is very quick so it save you time. ... show more

This scanner actually gave me the right answers
Number of Items: 1
I had a couple warning lights pop up and this was super easy to install and use. The Bluetooth connection was really good and I had no issues getting it connected to my phone. The app is also really easy to understand which I appreciate because some of these scanners make you feel like you need to be a mechanic just to figure out what they’re telling you. What I really like is that this doesn’t just check engine codes. It can diagnose the engine, transmission, ABS and SRS systems and you can also see live data and I/M readiness for emissions testing. There’s also an AI assistant in the app that can help explain codes and answer car questions. And I love that there’s no subscription or monthly fee. I actually took the information from this and had my vehicle checked somewhere else just to see if it gave me the same answers and it did! Really solid build quality, great connectivity and an incredible value for the money. ... show more

Great Little Scanner to Keep in the Glove Box
Number of Items: 1
I picked this up to diagnose issues on my 2017 F-150, 2015 Cadillac ATS, and 2013 Aston Martin and I've been very impressed with it. On the F-150 and Cadillac it works great, with a surprisingly good range of diagnostic, live data, and control functions. The app is excellent as well. It's intuitive, easy to navigate, and there is almost no learning curve even if you're used to more traditional scan tools. On the Aston Martin it doesn't have quite the same depth of advanced functions as my full-size scan tool, but honestly that isn't unexpected with a bespoke and fairly complex car like that. Overall I'm very happy with it. It now lives in the glove box of my F-150 so I always have a capable diagnostic tool handy when I need it. A great addition to my automotive diagnostic toolkit. ... show more

Awesome bluetooth OBD2 code reader. Many advanced functions including live-data.
Number of Items: 1
I fix cars, motorcycles, and boats in my free time and own several high-end tablet style diagnostic scanners from Autel and Foxwell but I like to have a code reader in each of my vehicles and the tablets are not practical to keep in the vehicle. This bluetooth OBD2 code reader is awesome because not only does it do basic code reading, resetting check engine light, etc, it also does live-data and SRS/ABS functions. It can tell you battery voltage as well as miles since last DTC's were cleared which makes it very useful for new car inspection or for shopping for a used car. The app works well on my android phone and doesn't require any subscriptions like Torque or some of the other apps that work with bluetooth code readers. ... show more

Useful Scanner Without the Ongoing Subscription Cost
Number of Items: 1
This is a really convenient diagnostic tool to keep on hand, especially if you want more information about what’s going on with your vehicle before immediately taking it somewhere for service. Setup was straightforward, and I like that it connects through Bluetooth, so I can view everything directly from my phone rather than dealing with another bulky handheld device. One of the biggest advantages is that it goes beyond basic check-engine codes and can access the engine, transmission, ABS, and airbag/SRS systems on supported vehicles. Being able to read and clear codes, check live engine data, and view information like coolant temperature and RPM makes it much more useful than a basic code reader. I also really appreciate that the dedicated app is free with no subscription required. A lot of products start out reasonably priced and then lock useful features behind recurring fees, so having the software and updates included adds quite a bit of value. The AI assistant is an interesting addition as well. Having the codes explained in more understandable terms and getting some guidance about what they could mean is helpful, especially for someone who isn’t particularly knowledgeable about vehicle diagnostics. I would still verify anything important before attempting a repair, but it’s useful for getting a better idea of what may be happening. Compatibility is something I’d definitely check carefully before purchasing since the more advanced four-system diagnostics don’t support every make and model. Pros: * Easy setup * Bluetooth connection * Works with iOS and Android * Engine, transmission, ABS, and SRS diagnostics on supported vehicles * Reads and clears diagnostic codes * Live vehicle data * Free dedicated app * No recurring subscription * Lifetime software updates * AI explanations and troubleshooting guidance * Good value for the features included Overall: This offers a lot of functionality in a small, convenient scanner without adding another monthly subscription. It’s easy to use, provides considerably more information than a basic code reader, and the app makes the diagnostic information much easier to understand. As long as your specific vehicle supports the features you want to use, I think it’s a really useful tool to keep around and a good value for the money. ... show more
