Description

This fire pit is constructed of steel which is susceptible to rust with exposure to outdoor conditions and fire. The unique design of this fire pit can generate heat in the burn chamber that can exceed 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. While we paint our fire pits with high temperature heat resistant paint, there are no commercially available paints suitable to meet these extremes. With use and time, these fire pits will show signs of rust, this will not impact the performance of the fire pit. The bottom for the fire grate in this fire pit is stitch welded into place to allow the fire grate to flex, which is required due to the high temperatures generated in the burn chamber. The flex can cause the fire grate to look wavy, this is normal and will not affect the performance of the fire pit. Outdoor use only on hard, level surfaces. We recommend placing the fire pit on flat concrete pavers to avoid damage to any surface. When not in use, cover your fire pit. When storing away for the season. place in a dry location. See owner’s manual for more important safety information.

Do not be afraid to purchase this fire pit - IT WORKS as advertised. Setup is very simple and there is nothing to do except figure out how to attach the ash pan. It feels robust and the workmanship is pretty good. There was just 1 small spot where a weld seam didn't get closed all the way but no big deal - at least not to me. I set it up with 4 pieces of fat wood on the bottom then used another brand's bag of fire pellets. On top of that 4 split logs. Once lit it went it took less than 10 minutes to get a roaring fire with almost no smoke. There is no such thing as completely smokeless but this pit works just as advertised. Okay so a corner came poorly welded, but this thing is awesome. I still give it 5 stars. It is designed really well. I live in the trees and was afraid to accidentally start a massive fire.     • Shipping pkg was horrible!
Great product, horrible packaging. The pit itself was just in the shipping box which was cheap and delivered in rain so it immediately began to break down and show the product. Also a big hole in one corner, luckily it wasn't damaged bc it was a gift for a family member.

I bought this pit after my old big box store pit fell apart Halloween night. It works really with both wood and pellets. Pellets provides a truly smoke free fire but burns relatively fast. They also put out the most heat. Wood does just fine. As well but will have a ever soon slight smoke until it really gets burning hot. I had originally sought out to but the solo stove but after doing research and seeing the price point it was at, I decided on this one and haven’t looked back. When it arrived there was a gap between the welds on the lip. I contacted the manufacturer. Sent proof of purchase and pictures. I figured they would either ask me to return it or simply give me a small amount of money back. Instead they sent me a completely brand new one and said to enjoy both of them. Was astonished they were so helpful and generous. The one with the gap works perfectly fine so now I have two great fire pits! All this to say, unless the build quality has gone down over the last year, I would highly recommend this pit for your back yard!! ... show more

We were super excited for this fire pit. after 5 months it is rusted and discolored. it looks awful. I contacted Blue Sky customer service and showed them pictures of the color and rust and they told me that was "normal" and that i can re-paint it if i want. What!? You are better off buying a cheap $40 pit at Lowes. NOT WORTH IT. we are already looking to replace it. Plus if you use real logs its not even smokeless. only if you buy their pellets. ... show more

    • Nice hot fire, cheap welds and coating
I've spent some time with this now and this would be a solid piece for about half the price. Shortly after I bought this in December (got a cover as well) it split around the edges and started rusting. I debated between this and SoloStove and I think the stainless steel would have been a much better choice. Pros: It does get nice and hot and it helps control about 75% of the smoke, but overall I wish I would have chosen a different product that was cheaper if it was going to look damaged after it's first couple uses. ... show more

If I had more time I’d put up a video, but I will Verify that this is largely “smoke free”. Realty? It’s mostly very low smoke but is that relevant? It’s quality construction, easy to light and looks good. If you need a smoke free fire pit and don’t want to break the bank this is a great buy.
