I am thoroughly impressed with the 52" version of this fan. It has a much larger, more premium profile in person than I expected. The walnut and black contrast is perfect for a farmhouse or industrial aesthetic. We have 8' ceiling and the included downrod was fine. Installation was straightforward (electrician was doing this as we had some other wiring at the time). Brightness will depend on bulbs chosen but there are only 2 bulb sockets so not the absolute brightest out there. You need to provide these and see the smart fix below if that appeals. Performance: The DC motor is the star here. It’s whisper-quiet even on the 6th speed. I was worried about wobbling given the size, but it stays perfectly centered. It comes with all necessary accessories, but I’d recommend professional installation if you aren't comfortable with DC motor receivers. The "Smart" Fix: While the included remote is functional, the fan doesn't have built-in WiFi. To get around this, I used smart bulbs in the fixture. You can also use a WiFi-enabled wall switch to bring it into your Alexa or Google Home ecosystem. If you only buy smart bulbs, simply leave the fan switched on and control the bulbs via whatever app that works with them or Google Home, etc if third-party enabled. Pros: 6+1 speed options provide great airflow control. Looks significantly more expensive than the actual cost. Solid wood aesthetic on the blades is top-notch. Cons: - Requires a bit of space (it’s a large 52"), so measure your clearance carefully! ... show more
