Great for post-surgical lumbar support!

This hernia belt is for more than just hernias. It works much better, and is far more comfortable, than the expensive back brace I was given after lumbar fusion surgery. It is very low profile and can be worn unseen under most clothing. If you will be using this for a hernia, it comes with an easily attachable pressure piece. I can’t stand tight clothes, yet this belt is so comfortable I forget I’m wearing it! It also doesn’t make me sweat. That’s a big deal for me since I live in the high desert with triple digit temps in the summer. I have now worn this belt daily for the past several weeks for at least 12 hours per day, and we have already seen triple digit temps. My only complaint is that I am starting to see a slight “curl” on the edge right under my breasts when seated (due to my breasts and bra), but it is not affecting performance. There has been no discernible stretching of the band. I was initially concerned with the size of the belt, since I’m on the smaller end of the listed waist sizes, but it fits just fine. HOWEVER, if you are petite, this may not work, so pay close attention to the posted sizing. The Velcro on this is wicked STRONG! It takes serious effort to take this off! I would definitely recommend this.

Extremely happy with this product. It’s versatile in terms of tightness and fit meaning you can make it as loose or as tight as you need it for your own comfort. This purchase will be on my ever growing “one of the best products I never knew I needed until I purchased it” List. If you have any type of abdominal hernia or had previous hernia surgery you should give this one a try ! This is very easy to put on and take off - HEAVY DUTY VELCRO with a very wide but thin and stretchy band. For the price I was very surprised by the quality, and especially the effectiveness. It is very comfortable and relatively smooth under clothing.

Firm support but not soft and flexible

This belt is well made and wraps easily. The fit measurement is correct. The only issue is that the belt is fairly stiff and therefore not as comfortable as it could be.

Game changer!

For over a decade I've been using just a 4 inch elastic hernia belt. This is a game changer! It's a lot more comfortable. The inserts are hard, but you can't even feel it pressing into the hernia area. The extra width makes a smoother shape and conforms to my body better. Since I've gained weight, the thinner belts really deform and give me a weird hour glass look. This belt smooths that out for a more natural look. The pad insert does a really good job of pressing in on the hernia area, but not bulging out the front. I wear this under an undershirt so there's minimal noticeability. It still leaves indentations in my skin after wearing it all day, but not as bad as the old 4" belt. It's also very forgiving during activities like golf, bowling, bike riding. It really is a good product!

It works

I had umbilical hernia repairs surgery two weeks ago. Everytime I got up out of bed coughed or sneezed I felt like the stitches were tearing apart. Since using the belt my pain is almost completely gone I can do almost everything normally besides picking up anything heavy. Great product!

I purchased several umbilical hernia belts before trying this one, and none of them worked well for me. This belt, however, has been exactly what I was looking for. It's lightweight, comfortable, stays securely in place throughout the day, and isn't too wide or bulky under clothing. I use it for abdominal support after surgery. My surgeon had to cut through my abdominal muscles, and I lost much of my core strength. This belt provides the support I need to help keep my abdomen supported and makes daily activities much more comfortable. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, supportive abdominal belt.
