My friend lent me his scanner from another manufacturer. It was more expensive, but it did not work when I used it to diagnose my car problem; it displayed a communication error on the screen. I think one should check first whether their car is OBD2-compliant, and that your car (make, model, year) is listed on the Scanner manufacturer’s compatible list, which is what I did when I chose the BLCKTEC 440 scanner. It worked and performed beautifully, especially when I paired it with the App “Repair Solutions2”. Highly recommended.

My 2013 Subaru Crosstrek check engine light came on. Cruise control start flashing. I called Subaru. They said I should have it towed in on a flat bed. This scanner saved me from a tow and service charges Turned out ... my gas cap wasn't tight.

First of All Thank God these are Made RIGHT here in the Great old USA, Not made in china and sold Here and Even got a Thank You card from them AWESOME BABY!!! Again Thank God!!!!!!! I have tried sooooo many low end scanners and this one Truely delivered!!!!!! Super fast connection, easy to read and navigate but for the button that activates what you picked has arrow pointing left and that's how you choose functions??? Anyway tried it cause it's in the middle where your choice button should be but come on!!! How about a triangle, square, green or an arrow pointing up?!?!??? Anyhoo, 5 stars cause it does what it's supposed to, Made HERE in the USA and everything else is Very easy to understand and navigate, Buy It and thank me Later!!!
