    • Free software on the phone gives codes and meaning
Works well. Replaced a 10 year old corded plug in unit that died. The manual is a bit cryptic but the web site has good help. Able to pull plenty of data, including recalls and service bulletins.

Great features for the price, only thing lacking is refresh rate is slow when performing live data readings. But this could be just an app issue.

    • Quick and easy!
07 mercedes E350. The check engine light came on without a label. Normally is says exactly what's out. So, I found this on Amazon and it actually finds the error, faulty coolant sensor, and linked me to the part. Excellent!

    • Not what I expected
I figured this device would at least stay paired with the phone. You know how you get a $5 bluetooth speaker and you turn it off, turn it on, and it automatically connects? Not with this waste of cash So you gotta plug it in, sit there for the sluggish app to find the device, pair the device, then input the vin/year make model EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Also, I assume due to its hipster bluetooth functionality, your vehicle must be in accessory mode. I've never had any problems plugging my $15 autel on any of my three vehicles while they are running. I got this for road trips, interested in the live data so I could see exactly what my car is reading instead of going through a list of probabilities which causes a dummy light, throwing money at a problem. I haven't even had my CEL come on since I bought this, but I guarantee I would not reach for this pos - pull over, turn off my vehicle, sit on the side of the road for at least 180seconds, then continue down the road. It wouldn't be a waste of time, but dangerous bruh. I'd reach for my $15 scanner, and worst case scenario Google the code to find out the most popular cause. In conclusion, I would not recommend this. However if you like pitter-pattering, wasting time staring at your phone, for some reason havent memorized troubleshooting codes AND can't use google to lookup said code, I'd say this product is great for you. I mean live data works, and so does recording live data. But still, PITA. 1 star. ... show more

    • It’s works great but unable to clear engine light codes
So I tried it twice the scanner is accurate as I proved it with a mechanic. Problem is it dont clear the check engine codes. Even replacing a gas cap it wont clear the codes so it worked for its price. Im gonna buy a different brand who is honest

    • Saved me $1400 from the dealership
I bought this device because I have had a check engine light go on and off for the past year. I finally ask d the dealership to look at it when I had my vehicle serviced. I was informed that for them to do a scan it was $250 for the diagnostic scan. I thought this was a ridiculous amount so I purchased this device and it installed via Bluetooth seamlessly and after downloading their software on my phone , I was ready to scan. Scan showed an issue with my catalytic converter and when I showed to the dealer , they waved their diagnostic fee, and scanned the same error so replaced the converter saving me $1400.
