I have a bedroom that I use for an office and have been looking for a way to get the windows covered to keep out daytime glare on my monitors. I also have an AC unit and separate fan mounted in the window so can't just pull the curtain or lower the blinds. I had been using some foam core boards cut to fit the window sections, but tended to fall down, and weren't convenient to remove when I did want light. This blackout sheet works great and with the velcro I can just pop off the panel I don't' need blacked out at the moment and roll it off to the side. The sheet is plenty big enough for a large window or a few smaller ones, and the velcro has very sticky backing. I expect the silver backing to reflect a fair bit of heat in the summer, a lot more than the black foam core I was using before. ... show more

This blackout curtain works really well! It blocks light very effectively. It was easy to install and the curtain is quite large, big enough to cover a standard window with plenty to spare. It comes with both a permanent sticker option or a velcro option for installation and plenty of both.

    • Super simple, not a whole lot to it, but gets the job done.

I have a large black-out window drape, and it truly is that. It has thickness, folds, the works. It has eyelets, attachments, etc.. It's the whole party, and it also cost quite a bit more to obtain. This is a simple sheet of blackout fabric, material really, which is as effective in blocking light at the one aforementioned, but with some of the paraphernalia and accoutrements, but not nearly the same. While each have window fastening plans, mostly by way of stickers and velcro, as the other is a bit more "advanced", this one here is truly bare bones. Cut it out to size. Stick stickers on blind and on window and let her rip. She'll work well, but she will not look pretty doing it. I mean, if you do a nice job, it can be reasonable. Still and all, she'll have no "fashion". For me, what I find works best for this product is to take a little time at the front, attach a few choice stickers in stategic spots on the blind, and then make some "suction cup" attachment points. Grab a few cheap suction cups, attack the opposite side of the stickies to them, and instead of marking up your windows with thoroughly unlovely stickers, you can more easily attach and remove the suction cups. I think if the manufacturer had included this, the product would have been exceptionally more handy out of the bag. As it stands, it's left to you. Have a permanent window and don't mind the rounds? Go for it. Want to add a little passion to it, then maybe try what was mentioned. Either way, one thing these product does perfectly is block out the light. ... show more

My apartment building is having a renovation - meaning that suddenly, we have scaffolding mounted all of the way to our top floor. That means that work crew can walk by at any moment. I wanted to have my office/guest view protected from - even un-intential - wandering eyes. This helps with that AND keeps out that annoying street light at night. Good find. I really like this product. I'm a night shift person so light in my room is an issue while I sleep. I was able to completely seal off light from my window with this. It comes with PLENTY of velcro so you can stick them up very throroughly. My room is on the west side of the house and gets full sun in the evening and gets hot. I can't wait until summer to see how much of a difference the reflective coating will make. Gonna get more for other rooms. ... show more
