I've been using these razors since I was a teen, I'm in my 30s. No other razor on the market gets a smoother and closer shave than these. I prefer these over traditional razors advertised for women. I use to be able to find these in Rite Aid but I'm glad I can purchase a multipack on amazon!

I've been using BIC disposables of one form or another for 20+ years. Their products have always performed as good as the more expensive, nationally advertised razors. Most recently I tried the BIC Comfort Disposable Razor. I was suspect that three blades was more a gimmick than a better solution. Much to my surprise, this 3-blade razor with gel strip delivered the smoothest, closest shave I believe I've ever experienced. Positives: Handle is textured for a sure grip. Other BICs have a smooth plastic handle. When your hands are wet and slippery from shaving cream, a smooth plastic handle presents grip challenges. Three blades really did provide a closer shave with less strokes. The gel strip added additional smoothness. On days 1 - 3, I did not notice any difference in shaving comfort or closeness. On day 4 I could tell the blades work starting to lose their edge. Gel strip still did it's job. On day 5 blades clearly were losing their edge. Gel strip almosts exhausted. A bit of discomfort as I shaved my upper lip. Still, my face was extremely smooth in the more difficult areas such as around the lips & chin. I have no hesitation using blade on day 6 (Saturday). Will start with a fresh blade on Monday. As soon as I post this review, I'll be buying a year's supply of these razors. (Reviewed 9-25-20. After trying many other razor brands I found these to be the very best in terms of getting an excellent shave with rare cuts that are not too bad when they happen. Others such as Sensor Excel cut badly into my skin even when new due to blade nicks engraved in the metal often make me bleed for a long while with deep cuts. My local stores quit carrying this razor the last few years and I can only get them online. Even then they are sometimes not available on Amazon. I keep trying others and none of them shave as easily and closely as this one for me. Recently, I bought a bunch of two different kinds other more expensive premium BIC razors and I could not get them to give me a close shave even though they cost twice as much as these. I put the newer flex versions into a donation box for a local charity shelter so they would not go to waste after I bought two batches of these. Probably have a three year supply now. Hope they are still available after I run out. These still say they are made in Greece on the package, so i think they are the same product I was able to get at Walmart up until about five years ago. I prefer these to the dozen or so other types I have tried. I almost dinged these a star because they have the ridiculous and superfluous lubricating strip that only makes the blade holder needlessly less compact than it could be. But, I like them so much better than others I will have to keep them at five stars. ... show more
