So i wanted to upgrade and after looking at the features, decided this is the one for me. So far, its been great. Received the headlamp with scotch tape all over the box. It was already opened. Batteries were already in the lamp and were not full. Headband had moderate fraying due to wear. This was obviously a used and returned item. Why even ship? Terrible. Will be returning. I didn’t buy a used headlamp……

I have bought Black Diamond products for years, especially when I was rock climbing. My previous Black Diamond Head lamp broke and I got this one to replace it. I like the simple on off for the light and it has good brightness for almost all purposes. The bad thing about it is that the catch for the battery compartment is extremely difficult to close. I pushed as hard as I could and it would not close. I finally got out a large channel lock pliers and squeezed it closed. Unless you have very strong hands you will need something like channel lock pliers to get the battery door closed. ... show more

the rechargeable battery pack that is compatible with this headlamp is basically useless. I'm going to carry another charging brick with me everywhere? this is absurd. hard to believe this passed the UX sniff test. Put a USB-C on this thing somewhere.
