I sleep hot and this is providing a cool breathable surface with the extra cushioning I need for some shoulder and hip pain associated with some sports injuries. I like the underlying Saatva mattress a lot too, and sometimes use it without the topper and just a cushioned mattress pad depending on my muscle/joint problems of the moment. A quality topper that could also be used as an extra stand alone floor mattress for kid sleepovers.

I bought this on reviews of :cooling effect and less morning back pain. But most of all the name Saatva. EXTREMELY sorry. Gave it time for me to adjust and missed my return window so now I am stuck with a worthless Saatva topper until I can get a new Mattress. You can put money in the bank that it will NOT be a Saatva. Advertisements can not be relied on.

I purchased a bed that was too firm for both my husband and I. I was waking up and limping around for the first hour or so with a pain in my hip and sometimes my shoulder would hurt. We went on a 3 week vacation and I spaced out that there was a time constraint on returns. Too late to return it. What to do? Searched online and found a person who said they fixed this problem with a mattress topper. He went through 5 or so toppers that didn't work for him and this one was the charm. I took his advice. I LOVE this topper. It has made all the difference for me, a 67 year old side sleeper. My husband likes it too. The bonus is that I've read that over time, people keep their mattress and just replace the topper when its life is done. One thing that I was concerned about was that my mattress is 14 inches deep and this topper is thick also. Fortunately they do make deep pocket fitted sheets.
