I'm fairly skeptical when it comes to lights and batteries. I used this to walk to my tree stand during deer season 2021. Holds a charge great and lasts longer than I've ever needed. I can't say how long it would last , but I've never ran it down completely before. Easy to charge, but it does take a while. Well I have the head lamp to use this pack. Worked great for a month now I need to wiggle the wire to get it to work. Not it would even work guess I just got a power bank now. But for it been for the headlamp not durable an felt like I wasted 50 bucks.

Just like any of the lights built by black diamond it's built well charges quickly and gives me about five extra hours of headlight time. I put the battery in my pocket wire up under my shirt and I'm good to go.

I have had the Icon 700 since November of 2021 and just got two of these battery packs at the end of February. I was going through a lot of AA batteries in those three months. I wanted a rechargeable battery to use and after reading more about this battery pack and the feature that allows you to use it as a power bank is what really sealed the deal. When I am up on Rainer, or even when I was climbing in the Alps, the need to bring a power bank is a necessity to keep your phone and Go Pro charged. Since using this battery pack for over two weeks so far.. I am on the same initial battery charge and I even forgot to turn off the flashing red light off one evening after walking the dog. I am down to three blue lights from the full four. If this lamp can run off a battery pack for a month plus on one charge.. I am more than happy for our evening walks with the dog and what this battery headlamp combination will be able to do while on the mountain. I have a smaller BD headlamp that is only rechargeable and super small. It is the one I use as a backup, also in the tent and at camp for cooking, potty runs, and times when a super bright heavy lamp isn't needed. Being able to recharge that off the battery pack makes me happy. I think anyone who owns a Icon 700 or the earlier Icon 500 would be super happy with this battery pack purchase. I know I am and I would highly suggest getting one, or even two based upon how you like to go on adventures. ... show more
