I got this halfway into summer 2022, this dehumidifier was noticeably hotter than it should have been, constantly blowing out hot air and running non-stop. It survived summer 2023 and 2024, but I had to run a portable air conditioner near it because of all the excess heat. When I tried to start it up in summer 2025, it didn't work. The compressor was shot after only 2.5 summers. Thankfully, I bought an extended warranty from Asurion, so I was able to get the purchase price back (excluding sales tax and the cost of the Asurion plan). I had it less than 3 years (July 2022 to May 2025), and it was only operating for about 12 months total in that time. Now that I've replaced it with a Midea dehumidifier, I realize just how excessive the heat was from this B&D one. I wish I'd known sooner so I could have had a more comfortable home the past few years. ... show more

So far I have found this dehumidifier to work great for my 42ft 5th Wheel. Before we had purchased, we always had wet windows from condensation when we were cooking on the stove, but now it hardly ever happens. I have been going between 30, 40, and 50% humidity and have found 50% to be optimal for our use. I haven’t used the pump feature yet, but I have found the tank more than large enough and I can sometimes go several days if not a week before I need to empty it. We are using this dehumidifier in our Hurricane Ian flooded home. It is taking moisture out like crazy! In the first week it took out 25 gal. of moisture. (No standing water in the house, just moisture in walls and plywood flooring.) Pump works nicely to push water out through a window.

It got frozen coils a couple times and then stopped dehumidifying, so it turned into a loud energy wasting hot air fan. Takes weeks to fill the bucket (pump seems dead) while another one I put next to it fills up in hours. I tried to fix it but she's toast, expensive for only a year of service.

Purchased for the basement to replace an older dehumidifier. Comes with a pump, hose and filter. Good price. The electric consumption is as advertised and did not exhaust a lot of heat like the replacement model…very satisfied with this product SO FAR…May rate this again after a year of use.

Love that it has a built in pump and can do continuous flow into sump pump so don’t have to empty ever. Clean the filter when it says and that’s about it. Easy to set up and works well. Took my basement from 75% humidity to 35% in a day. This is a win for me
