This is the exact replacement of my other one. Need a small one to fit on a shelf vs. the countertop. I am still having trouble turning the knob to stay on, but hopefully it will loosen up with uses as my other one did.

    • Control knob is unpredictable!
This was purchased to replace a very faithful (25 plus years) Black & Decker Cool-touch toaster oven which had expired. Unfortunately, the control knob settings are unpredictable in spite of the icons showing different degrees of toasting. Also, pulling out the rack to retrieve your toast is likely to dump it into the floor because of poor design. There is little or no insulation, causing the exterior to become very hot. This oven was chosen because of positive experiences with the older model. It is a crying shame that someone decided to re-design a great product. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! ... show more

Well I was looking for an affordable toaster oven, to replace my wonderful large toaster oven. What I got was only enough room for two pieces of toast, unless you are using miniature breads. Whoever designed this thing clearly never used it. Three knobs with dozens of settings, but the actual settings where this thing functions as a toaster are relegated to two centimeters on the inscrutable bottom knob. The difference between a perfectly toasted bagel and having to reset the smoke detectors in your house is measured in micrometers. If you want a bunch of options that you'll never actually use, this is the toaster oven for you. If you want something that's reliable and intuitively designed, get anything else. ... show more

i bought this to replace a black and decker worked wonderfully and lasted 28 yrs. toast is very difficult to make in this - either burns or not fully toasted no matter how you set it.
