  • Good enough for a fat guy.
Size: XX-Large Color: Granite Heather
My standards for athletic shorts are pretty simple. Are they mesh? Is there an elastic waistband? Do the legs stop at or around my knees? The answer to all three is a resounding "yes." I am not an athlete. I find that athletic wear is best suited for sitting comfortably on a couch. I have road-tested these shorts in that application and found them thoroughly up to snuff. I mean, I also wore them to mow the lawn and stuff, and they are fine for that. I'm just saying that the bulk of my testing was sofa-based. A huge bonus with these is how lightweight and breathable they are, by the way. ... show more

  • Best Athletic Shorts I've Ever Purchased...So I Bought 3 More! :)
Size: Medium Color: Black
I'm 6'1, 175lbs with a 34 inch waist. I'm a very fit guy. I work out 4-5 times a week. And the Medium's fit me PERFECT. I also have pretty big legs, and they give me plenty of room, even with a Medium size. If you have muscular thighs, but you're in the 32-36 waist range, these will still fit you perfectly. These shorts are all about the waist size. If you're 30 and smaller, go with small. If you're over 36, go with the large, and etc...either way, they'll fit you perfect. The elastic band and infinite draw-string are nice touches to these athletic shorts as well. I love them so much, I bought 3 pair! ... show more

  • Fits my 13 yr old
Size: Small Color: Navy
I've done a thorough search in my son's age and size group on Amazon for navy blue gym shorts for school and came across a lot of dead ends. He is 13 and I was always coming across shorts being to little even in the largest size. He is 5 ft and slender which should make it fairly easy. Fed up and not having time to go to various stores I decided to try shorts in mens and in the brand that's quite tried and true. He loves them. I went with small in men and it hits below his knees in standing position and when he sits, squats or sits Indian style it doesn't hike all the way up past his thighs. These comfy shorts gives him a lot of room for running and playing basketball. I will be back here when he out grows them. ... show more

  • My favorite shorts
Size: Small Color: Granite Heather
I bought a size small for $13 and they fit me perfectly, I'm around 28"-30" waist. They stretch so I think I'd even be fine at a 32" waist. They fit very comfortably, most of the time I don't even notice I'm wearing them which is a good sign. They didn't shrink noticeably any of the times they've been washed, and the color is staying true now 9 months after being purchased. I wear them quite often, I'd live in these types of shorts if I could. Very basic and they get the job done. The logo isn't obtrusively large, it's just there. I could do without the logo but it's no big deal. The shorts have a drawstring, it's effective but I never feel the need to use it, they fit fine as is. The pockets can hold my phone and even my 8" tablet and 7" GPS. Not that you need to carry around a GPS or tablet in your pockets, the point is the pockets are spacious and shouldn't have a problem fitting your phone and wallet. These would be a steal at anything less than $10 but at $13 I'll still recommend them. ... show more

  • Awesome Shorts! They Meet the Three "Must-Haves": Lightweight, Good Pockets, and Knee-Length
Size: Large Color: Navy
When looking for athletic shorts I have three basic requirements: 1- they must be lightweight, 2- they must have pockets, and 3- they must settle near my knees. These shorts meet all of them perfectly! Here are the highlights: LIGHTWEIGHT: I primarily use these shorts for running, so a lightweight fabric is a must. This has become especially important to me since, what with COVID19-related-closures, I can't go to my gym anymore and need to run outside in the summer heat. These shorts ended up being just what I needed. They're comprised of two mesh layers placed on top of each other and are incredibly breathable. POCKETS: I also sometimes use my exercise shorts as pajama bottoms or to just lounge around the house, so having pockets is also a must! The pockets in these pants are deep and well-padded, with more than enough space to hold my phone, headphones, wallet, and/or anything else I need. KNEE-LENGTH: While I love running, I've never gotten used to "runners' shorts" that come up too far above my knees. I was a little worried that these shorts would be long enough for me (I'm 6'3"), but they ended up being the perfect length! They reach my knees perfectly (see picture) and look/feel comfortable whether I'm standing up or sitting down. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with these shorts and will purchase more when I need them. Enjoy! ... show more

  • You get what you pay for: they are okay.
Size: Large Color: Black
In my opinion, they fit as i expected. I typically vary between 34 and 36 size pants, so I am used to pants being tight or baggy just depending on the manufacturer. I have some ham sized thighs, so typically mediums are too tight for them to handle. I went with large in these, they are slightly baggy on me. The shorts are shorter than many athletic alternatives now-a-days, but still ride down to the knee. The shorts are moderately transparent. There is a double layered build, but both of which are fairly thin. If you are rocking bubble-gum pink underwear, the world may be able to spot that. The main issue I had with these shorts was the fact that the drawstring snapped after only 2 uses. Due to the waist and length being a little big for my "Marge" "large-medium" sizing build, the drawstring was completely necessary for me to keep these shorts on while working out. I went to put these on for the third time and the string popped. These shorts are now useful only for lounging. Pretty disappointing for this to happen while being so new. I only paid around 10 dollars for these, so it isn't a huge bummer. Just be prepared, these are not some high-dollar quality shorts. If you want shorts to pound some iron for many months, these might not be for you. If you just want to strut around Wal-Mart comfortably, or sit around playing your hearthstone and trolling on internet forums: save some money and go for it. ... show more
