The BLACK+DECKER BV6000 High Performance 3-in-1 Electric Blower, Vacuum and Mulcher features a 250 mph blower that blows through leaves and debris with ease. 50% quieter than comparable models, this multifaceted tool houses a high impact metal fan that prevents clogging when mulching, while grinding up to 16 bags of mulch down to one. It features variable two-speed functions for gently cleaning around garden and flower beds and and is powerful enough for matted leaves. The 3-in-1 system allows for quickly changing between vacuum and blower functions in seconds with no need for additional tools. The built-in cord retention system keeps the extension cord in place and plugged in for uninterrupted use. An easy empty reusable leaf bag design saves time and effort and includes two (2) disposable bags: simply tie and toss for quick, easy cleanup. After a year of searching for the perfect outdoor leaf vacuum, I finally found this one. And let me tell you, it's a breath of fresh air in a world of fake or exaggerated reviews. I didn't have unrealistic expectations—just a simple request: great suction, a vacuum that could handle pebbles, stones, and previously laid mulch without undoing all my hard yard work without a sweat. And guess what? This one fit the bill! The power and suction quality are top-notch, and the value is unbeatable. Just a heads-up: I found the cord to be short, so if you have a larger property, you'll need an extension cord to keep the suction party going. The design...meh. But that's a small price to pay for a product that actually does what it says it will. In short, this leaf vacuum is a winner.     • Works as intended!
This was my first time using a product like this. It works as intended. The power is very strong and very easy to use. I have trees in my backyard that accumulate thousands of leaves every Fall and this product made my life so much easier! The only flaw I noticed is the reusable bag that collects the mulched leaves; it’s small/medium sized (which needs to be emptied multiple times) and dust will escape from the bag when it’s half full. I’m sure there is a way to prevent the dust from escaping, but no solution yet. Otherwise, great product and if you are looking for a leaf collector and blower, this is the one. ... show more

    • Just what I imagined it to be
I have had a few leaf blowers, but what I always envisioned is a leaf vacuum, that could pick them all up. I was so happy to see that they actually made the thing I had imagined. It works amazingly well, sucking up the leaves and grinding them into fine dust that can be easily disposed of. The attached carrying sack is ample to grind up a solid yardful of leaves. Be sure to get a long extension cord (I have one), but it's just great. This IS a relatively heavy unit. It comes with a shoulder strap that makes it easier, but you will definitely feel it after an hour or two of use. I recommend blowing or raking the leaves to a pile and then using this, but I have also had success just sweeping it along to capture leaves that are dispersed across my yard.     • Vac/mulch works great!
I used the B&D blower/vacuum/mulcher today for the first time, to clean up the leaves in our back yard. Our yard is roughly 1500sf and we have two big trees that dumped about 2/3 of their leaves that I needed to pick up. The wind was very strong last night, so it took care of gathering the leaves into a few main areas in the yard so I just had to vacuum them up. I did not use the blower function this time, only the vacuum/mulcher. It worked great! I was so pleased with the suction power, much more than I was expecting. I did use it on the high seeing the whole time. It was able to make quick work of piles, as well as picking up the leaves that had been walked on and smashed into the grass. It comes with a strap that clips onto the machine so you can put it across your shoulder/chest so a lot of the weight is on your shoulders and not on your arms. It's easy to maneuver and lightweight to start out. However, as you vacuum up the leaves, the collection bag gets heavy, so you then start to feel the weight. Nice thing is, the collection bag is very easy to snap on/off, and the zipper to empty it makes it easy to do so, as frequently as you need to. I picked up all the leaves in the back yard, emptied the collection bag 5 or 6 times, and it all mulched down to fit into a 40 gal contractor bag. Awesome! Thank you to another reviewer who warned of the dust from the collection bag. I heeded that warning and wore a mask, and it was very much needed. If you don't wear glasses you may consider wearing some goggles or safety glasses too, to keep the dust out of your eyes. Fair warning, you will get very dirty running the vac/mulch, so just plan on having to change your clothes and shower afterwards. A small price to pay for this machine that does a great job.
