This was a pretty easy rod to put together and put up on the wall (without a curtain on). It seemed well made and sturdy when putting a curtain on it. I didn't feel like the curtain was too heavy for the rod even though it definitely is a thicker curtain since it was meant for blacking out a room and keeping cold weather out. I like that all of the hardware is already included (hooks, screws, and anchors), it definitely is a very well thought out package. The only thing that takes away one star is the fact that the end pieces (I think the product labels them as the inner rods?) do not have the grooves needed to screw them on. There is only a slightly thick piece of plastic between the inner and outer rod which I'm just not really sure what this is supposed to do for the rod. The lack of grooves makes it difficult in my opinion to actually put the curtain up on the rods on your own because when you are trying to put one side up on the hooks, you run the risk of the curtain just falling altogether. Could I have put one side of the rod on a hook and then slide the rest of the curtain on the other side? Maybe. The area that I wanted the rod / curtain above was fairly long (about 82"). The specs of the rod that I bought was the 36"-88" one, meaning that the last couple of inches would be on those inner rods that were not readily held in place. It just kept on moving around and as a single person just trying to decorate my own space by myself, I don't think that it's a lot to ask for an easy curtain rod to put up. All in all, the rod is well made, just has some opportunities.

Compared to another screw together rod I have, this one seems much straighter and definitely a lot more seamless. The only sort of bumps you have is where the small extendable end pieces come out. But they are at least at the ends and mostly out of the way. It took awhile to find one that was mostly seamless and I'm happy with this so far.

The finish was beautiful. The curtains that I hung were a little over 5lbs. They held up beautifully. Two came in package so I was able to cover 4 windows. Hardware was included. I'm quite happy with the rods.
