I have always struggled to find a handheld steam cleaner that performs well without leaking constantly. The Bissell Steam Shot Omni Handheld exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and ease of use. The Steam Shot Omni arrived well packaged with all included attachments as well as a cup for measuring the maximum amount of water that will fit in the unit. Directions on use were very clear and very well organized making instructions easy to access. The inclusion of locking position for the primary arm was helpful during first set up. The build quality of the Steam Shot Omni is solid. The body is a solid, quality plastic, and the tools lock in without creaking or the fear of breaking. I have a one-year old at home and the Steam Shot Omni quickly removed food residue from his high chair. Not only did it remove staining from earlier in the day, it clearly cleaned the spot without the use of any chemicals. This brought great peace of mind. I was also able to refresh my window treatments without removing them saving me from an hour plus of removing the curtains, ironing, and putting them back up. After completing all cleaning tasks, prepping the product to be stored was as easy as setup. After unplugging the unit was left off for 5 minutes. I drained the Steam Shot Omni and let it dry. The cord of the unit comes with a velcro strap to neatly rewind the cord. The addition of the velcro strap may seem small, but it is extremely helpful when dealing with a longer cord. This made storage much easier. Overall I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to clean without the use of chemicals. The quality of steam production greatly outweighs any other handheld steam cleaner and the build quality and ease of use make the Bissel Steam Shot Omni Handheld an amazing addition to the cleaning supply arsenal. ... show more

This steam cleaner works pretty well for removing the grime out of my grout. It doesn’t fully restore it to white, but it looks much better than before! You can see the before (top right) and after (bottom left) in my picture. It’s noticeably cleaner and whiter, and looks much better. My two biggest criticisms: the trigger takes a lot of effort to push, and you need to keep it pressed to release steam. My thumbs are sore and tired because it takes so much energy to keep pressed down. I wish there was just a lock/unlock switch and an easier to use trigger. I’m not a fan of that design since it makes the tool ineffective for larger cleaning jobs. My second criticism is that the water tank is so small. I only got through a few large tiles worth of grout before it ran out of water. The small water tank makes the product lighter, but that’s not a huge benefit to me when the trigger is so hard to keep pressed down in the first place. 5 stars for cleaning power, 3 stars for design / usability. ... show more

The steamer works perfectly and definitely tingles some OCD habits in me. As great as it is, it’s really only for tiny projects. The cons: 1. It’s really designed for small projects. I had to reload the water 3 times for an area that was 2’x6’. 2. The button to release steam is very hard to press down. I found myself using both hands to hold the button down, spray the stream and then relocate my hands to use the scrubbing features. A day later and my hands are still sore/shaky. 3. The cord isn’t terribly long. But, I think it’s because the device is not for larger projects. It reached the areas I needed it to, but no way could it reach across a room or even up a shower wall. It’s about the length of an iron. The pros: 1. It with amazing accessories that I didn’t know I needed including a cup to refill the water and scrubbing tools. As a tip, the scrubbers are very hard, but did NOT scratch porcelain tile. 2. Compact and fast. If you have a few tiles, a dirty sink or dirty toilet area, you would be able to fill, heat up and clean in less than 15 minutes. Would I buy this item again? No. I’d purchase something much larger. This is AWESOME! I bought this today and used it on my new carpeting we put in our rec room. We had a patch of glue on the carpet from a taped down dart throwing line. I thought the carpet was ruined. We tried everything to remove the glue from the carpet. We used this little Bissell steamer and the glue came right up with no residue or marks in the carpet! It saved $2500 worth of carpet from having to be replaced! It’s paid for itself in 10 minutes! Takes stains out of carpet really well too. ... show more
