After trying the Bissell Power Fresh steam Mop, returned it. It was very hard to push on our wood floors. We then ordered their Rotating Steam Mop. What a difference, as you can see from mop picture. Our home is 1700 sq. ft., of which approximately 1300 is hardwood flooring. For years we used a triangle type floor steamer, but it finally died on us. In the meantime we used a Swiffer with Bruce Hardwood floor cleaner in a spray bottle, and thought our floors were clean. After cleaning our kitchen and dining area with this new steam mop, I ordered 6 more new mop heads, went over the recently cleaned areas, and the hardly got any dirt on them, so we’re sold. This is very easy to use, as it practically moves itself, you just have to steer it. We will never go back to the old method of doing our floors again. We use distilled water, as recommended and it took two fillings plus a little more to do the whole house, including tiled bathrooms and a sunroom, mostly on the low steam setting. P.S. Owing to back issues, the mop & bucket method is no longer viable for me. I started researching steam mops as an alternative. I chose this one over the Shark because this one has a higher RPM speed. Assembly was easy. (Yes, you do have to assemble it. I don't know why the description says you don't.) I had it up and running in 20 minutes. It's pretty quiet! Nothing but the low hum of the motor turning the pads and rhythmic pulsing of the water pump. It glides very easily, and the multi-directional handle allows for it to fit anyplace the base is narrow enough to fit. I even got into that narrow slot between the wall and the toilet! I will need some more practice 'driving' it as it has a pinball-like recoil when it bumps things (baseboards, chair legs, etc.). Even so, it is easy to handle. The floors were dry within 5 minutes of finishing, and they were SPOTLESS. They were evenly clean, were not at all tacky to the touch, bright in color - everything my hands-and-knees-with-a-scrub-brush method used to give me but without all that work and mess! I was sold! I should also note that I needed to wear socks while using the machine as the floors get a bit hot as you're working. Cleanup was as easy as advertised; removed them from the unit (after cooling) and popped them into the washer on low temp. However, they did NOT come totally clean. There are still signs of soil. I will have to work that out as well. They were in the wash alone so maybe there was not enough friction. I dried them on low temp/senor dry and they came through the wash process perfectly fine. Next, I want to purchase some of the scented deionized water as I'd like an aroma to the kitchen floor, in particular (personal choice). I recommend this product! ... show more

I purchased 2 lemons of a different brand last year. I wasted time, money, patience…and decided not to buy any more of these. The only reason I changed my mind was because of the reviews on this specific brand/cleaner…& being desperate. It came in a smaller box so I was worried if that’s why this product was on sale. Lol. The size is actually perfect for anyone. It’s not tiny, so don’t let the box fool you. The look, quality, and cord length met my expectations. The steam output adjust to whatever kind of floor you may have. The temperature sets itself (depending on if you have tile, hardwood, etc.) It’s durable and was simple to put together. It cleans and sanitizes extremely well which is what I was looking for since it’s the start of lets spread more germs season. It cleaned up a lot of tough spots my other non steaming cleaner was not. The mop pads need changing if you realize it’s not working as well on your floor or if you realize it’s leaving “grits” of dirt. Wait a few moments before popping them out because they can be hot. (They are easy to remove) It collects/cleans fast. Since it rotates at the bottom & not in any specific shape, it doesn’t get into direct L corners but truly close enough. After I was finished, I wash the mop pads in the washer on hot water and added a drop of bleach the first time and then I dried them on low in the dryer. Came out brand new and ready to use again. You’ll receive 4 with this purchase so that’ll give you time to order more if needed. So glad I made this purchase and while it was on sale:-) ... show more

After much review, as we are using a Robot vacuum sweeper with spinning mop behind itself, does Ok. But we wanted that could Steam and Scrub.. We found the Bissell had all the features, simple, light, functional and does a great job. It took about 10 minutes totally to setup, read instructions and fill the tank. Our floors are one level, 2400 sq ft of large porcelain tiles as see in picture. Took about 30 minutes to steam clean, pads are large about 10 inch diameter. Bissell was easy to use.. Initially when I first started I noticed the water tank amount of water was not lowering much, shortly after the Out of Water light came on.. yet tank was 3/4 full still. Removed the tank thought there was something wrong.. that the tank was not Breathing.. I was right. I found the little black Venting reed in the back of tank was stuck closed being new. I took the two screws out of the back on the tank,, pulled the reed out and put pack. I could have just took a toothpik and push the stuck flap of the Reed and would have been faster. So if you purchase one and you find the Tank is Not Lowering, first think is make sure it can breath, because as you pull water and it is not breathing it stops delivering water to the steamer part of the unit.. a simple quick fix, get a toothpic and carefully push it thru the back as the Black Rubber Reed being new just maybe stuck. After that. I was able to do 2400 sq feet of floor with a tank. Had just a bit left in tank when I finished.. I was very pleased and surprised how much cleaner the floor became. This was right after the Robot had just prior vacuum and scrubed.. I am very pleased with the Bissell and recommend it highly. ... show more
