    • Great stick vac - a ton of bang for your buck

I'll start with why I think this is a great vac, but pls read to the bottom for an explanation for why I couldn't give it 5 starts. I bought this because my employer had one; I used it and loved it. It is lightweight, versatile, has great maneuverability, long lasting battery power, great suction power. It offers many features and functions that I would only expect from a higher priced stick vac. You get two tools for the price of one, with the detachable hand vac (plus you get accessories: crevice tool and etc). This vac gets under the lowest furniture and swivels around in the trickiest spaces allowing you to reach more areas without having to detach the handvac to get into hard to reach spaces. The handle even folds forward so you can really get under low furniture without the vacuum losing contact with the floor (and thus suction). The charge lasts 90+ minutes and doesn't require constant charging. I used this vac for 45 minutes and forgot to plug it in to charge. 5 days later, I used it again for over 45 minutes. The suction power did not deplete when battery power ran low. All the features of this vac are intuitively handy. With just one push of a button that is at your fingertips, you can switch between using the hard floor and using the brush roll feature. You don't have to stop vacuuming to switch surfaces. The hand vac can be easily detached and reattached from the base with a push of a button. This mid range stick vac is really impressive. So WHY DIDN'T I GIVE IT A FIVE STAR RATING??? #1 When my stick vac arrived, the filter was missing. Amazon did refund my purchase price and did not require that I return the product, so kudos to them. I thought that was strange and now I know why. #2 YOU CAN NOT BUY A GENUINE BISSELL REPLACEMENT FILTER PART. I looked on the Bissell website for a replacement filter for this 3106 model. They don't sell a filter replacement. They don't offer an alternative replacement filter, from among the many other replacement filters they sell, that would work for the model 3106. (I thought maybe they had a newer version of this stick vac and I could buy the filter for the newer model, but no!) The only way to get a genuine replacement filter for this specific model, is that you have to buy the entire hand held vacuum for $35, which only comes with the one (1) filter - what happens when I eventually want to replace the filter, which anyone would need to do to keep the vac running in good order? My only other option was to buy an "off brand" replacement filter and hope that it fits. The problem with buying something other than genuine replacement parts is that they are never as good as the genuine parts because they aren't made specifically for your product and sometimes products don't fit nor do they work as well (or you damage your vac by using an off brand) when you don't use genuine parts. It's also difficult to determine if you are buying the correct product because while "they" say that the filter is compatible with the model 3106 in the heading, if you read further on in the description of "compatible models" you won't find the 3106 listed among the model numbers- "bait and switch". I know this sounds picky, but I have a brand new stick vac that I bought with the expectation that it would work as well as the one my employer has. At this point, I'm crossing my fingers and will purchase an "off brand" filter. Let's hope I'm not disappointed. CONCLUSION: LOVE THE VAC, but BE AWARE OF THE ISSUE WITH REPLACING THE FILTER WITH A GENUINE BISSELL FILTER. ... show more

This vacuum is just what I needed for my hardwood floors and 2 dogs. It holds a good charge for at least 30 minutes enough for me to vacuum my bedroom, hallway, living room and kitchen. I have hardwood floors & loved that I could press a button to stop the brush roller from turning so I don't have to worry about scratches to the floor. It has awesome suction power ~ better than I expected. It folds down & I am able to store it in a closet. The tank easily comes off and it then becomes a hand vacuum which is awesome for doing stairs & comes with several accessories like an upholstery tool & crevice tool. The dirt tank is easy to empty. I purchased this on a whim around Black Friday 2023 and have tried using it for the first time today after charging it prior to first use and while it did clean both carpet and tile, I'm just not sure the suction is that great. The crevice tool is just not well designed either with the way it has such a long slant meaning you have to angle it almost parallel to the surface. I feel a long cone shape would have been a better choice. The run time also just isn't that great unless it's a small quick mess. It's 4 and a half hours for 20 min max. Pros: lightweight as stated easy for basically anyone to use, low noise while running, compacts down well for easy storage, picks up dog hair pretty well(it also clogs fast because of said dog hair even though she's a short-haired dog), the swivel is amazing(actually my favorite part of the vacuum), easy to empty and clean dirt bin Cons: run time is very limited, only comes with 2 tools that don't really seem to be designed that well, getting into corners to clean them up with hand-held after using floor mount can be challenging, limited reach using hand-held even with attachments especially if you are on the shorter side trying to get things up high I'm unsure if I want to keep this product or not. I feel it would have just been better to buy a lighter corded version with a hose attachment or just a hand-held vacuum by itself. ... show more

I got this because I wanted it to be simple and light. I am a 75-year-old woman and I’m pretty good shape but sometimes my wrists get a little sore from a heavy vacuum. It’s easy to handle and I can’t believe how much more dog hair it picked up in my previous one. Great value and I recommend.

It holds a good charge and it does fine for normal use . I have pets and could use something a bit more powerful, but the cordless feature makes it easy to use every day. I really like the cleaner. It is easy to use, good suction, has a swivel head and breaks down to get under chairs etc. The only draw back for me is when using the cleaner the life of the charge is short. I wish it lasted longer. Otherwise I am happy with it.

After only a few uses, it wouldn't turn on. Read up and saw that the brush roller was stuck from pet hair, not in the brush but stuck down in the end pieces that make it spin. It was easy to clean, but really should hold up longer than that. My Dyson stick vac brush never stalls.
