I love this vacuum, works great on our vinyl plank floors. It's super easy to turn the brush on/off to avoid scratching. Suction is great, no problem picking up anything. Battery life is fine for my needs, I don't have a huge area to vacuum, about 4 rooms, hasn't run out of power yet. Cleaning and emptying is simple. Very happy so far.

I love this little treasure! I use it in my travel trailer and was drawn to the folding handle. It fits perfectly in the space I have with that feature. I’m on my second camping season with it, it remains in perfect working order. It gets dirt along the wall, holds a charge for a few weeks and charges up quickly. It is also nice to have the detachable handheld vacuum. This is made very well & I highly recommend it.

I'll start with why I think this is a great vac, but pls read to the bottom for an explanation for why I couldn't give it 5 starts. I bought this because my employer had one; I used it and loved it. It is lightweight, versatile, has great maneuverability, long lasting battery power, great suction power. It offers many features and functions that I would only expect from a higher priced stick vac. You get two tools for the price of one, with the detachable hand vac (plus you get accessories: crevice tool and etc). This vac gets under the lowest furniture and swivels around in the trickiest spaces allowing you to reach more areas without having to detach the handvac to get into hard to reach spaces. The handle even folds forward so you can really get under low furniture without the vacuum losing contact with the floor (and thus suction). The charge lasts 90+ minutes and doesn't require constant charging. I used this vac for 45 minutes and forgot to plug it in to charge. 5 days later, I used it again for over 45 minutes. The suction power did not deplete when battery power ran low. All the features of this vac are intuitively handy. With just one push of a button that is at your fingertips, you can switch between using the hard floor and using the brush roll feature. You don't have to stop vacuuming to switch surfaces. The hand vac can be easily detached and reattached from the base with a push of a button. This mid range stick vac is really impressive. So WHY DIDN'T I GIVE IT A FIVE STAR RATING??? #1 When my stick vac arrived, the filter was missing. Amazon did refund my purchase price and did not require that I return the product, so kudos to them. I thought that was strange and now I know why. #2 YOU CAN NOT BUY A GENUINE BISSELL REPLACEMENT FILTER PART. I looked on the Bissell website for a replacement filter for this 3106 model. They don't sell a filter replacement. They don't offer an alternative replacement filter, from among the many other replacement filters they sell, that would work for the model 3106. (I thought maybe they had a newer version of this stick vac and I could buy the filter for the newer model, but no!) The only way to get a genuine replacement filter for this specific model, is that you have to buy the entire hand held vacuum for $35, which only comes with the one (1) filter - what happens when I eventually want to replace the filter, which anyone would need to do to keep the vac running in good order? My only other option was to buy an "off brand" replacement filter and hope that it fits. The problem with buying something other than genuine replacement parts is that they are never as good as the genuine parts because they aren't made specifically for your product and sometimes products don't fit nor do they work as well (or you damage your vac by using an off brand) when you don't use genuine parts. It's also difficult to determine if you are buying the correct product because while "they" say that the filter is compatible with the model 3106 in the heading, if you read further on in the description of "compatible models" you won't find the 3106 listed among the model numbers- "bait and switch". I know this sounds picky, but I have a brand new stick vac that I bought with the expectation that it would work as well as the one my employer has. At this point, I'm crossing my fingers and will purchase an "off brand" filter. Let's hope I'm not disappointed. CONCLUSION: LOVE THE VAC, but BE AWARE OF THE ISSUE WITH REPLACING THE FILTER WITH A GENUINE BISSELL FILTER.

We purchased this vacuum on July 3, 2021. We chose this one because of the reviews, the light weight aspect, the features, and because it was cordless. We also bought into the "helping animals" marketing. On August 31, 2022 it did not turn on. We have maintained the equipment, changed filters, etc as the user manual directed. We have engineered hard wood (vinyl plank) throughout our home. We called the product support line provided by Amazon today, September 10, 2022. First representative- Gathered our information, did some trouble shooting, informed us we were out of guarantee (waranty) and that the best he could do was 20% off a new unit. We would have to pay shipping and there was no option for extended protection. The unit would take 1- 2 weeks to arrive at our home. Total cost would be around $120. We asked him to tell us why we should buy another Bissell if it was going to die right after the warranty period. He just kept reiterating that because we were outside the warranty, he could offer 20% off a new unit. We asked to be transferred to sales based on the assumption that a sales person might be better versed in reliability and if this was a frequent problem. He was pleasant enough, just very script focused. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes. Second representative- Asks for all our information AGAIN and is unable to understand us even when we spelled things out such as "E as in Echo". Getting our address correct took over 5 minutes. We explain that our vacuum died, we had already done troubleshooting, the other rep offered us 20% off a new unit, but that we wanted to know why we should purchase a Bissell product again if it was just going to die right outside warranty. He started looking up other products. He suggested a corded vacuum that was suitable for carpet and also $400! We specified that we were not looking for other products and definitely not spending $400 on a vacuum that wouldn't work for us. He responded "But that has a 2 year guarantee". He then wasted 10 more minutes of our lives reexplaining that our unit was out of warranty (we know) and if we want that one he can offer 20% off (we know) and that we also have to pay for shipping. We asked for a supervisor. Duration of this call segment: 25- 30 mins. Supervisor- We had to wait on hold roughly 5 minutes, so not bad at all for a weekend. The supervisor answers and sounds pissed off. "Who am I speaking to? What is it you want?" They have a non American accent, so we chalk it up to differences in grammar, not rudeness. We were wrong. We very briefly explain the issue. "Our vacuum is just out of warranty and died. We're being offered 20% off a new unit, but we're not sure we want to spend over $100 on a vacuum just to do it again in a year. Is this a common problem? Do your vacuums just make it through the warranty period and then die?" We could hear a small dog loosing it's yappy mind and a young (toddler?) aged child sing shrieking in the background. It was loud enough she was difficult to hear. We missed the first sentence or so and were able to hear "... Warranty was 2 years and expired in March (both these things are untrue) so 20% is a gift!" "No, it was a 1 year warranty and expired in July. Are you looking at the right customer?" *she starts yelling angrily*"I know what I'm doing and you waited 4 months to call. Your warranty expired in March! What do you want?!?" "So we're going to go ahead and take our money to a different company, thanks." We hung up. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes real time, 6 hours yelling, yapping, shriek singing time. We went to look up the corporate address to send a letter and found 4 on Google. We called the customer service line again. I gave my name and said I just wanted to corporate mailing address. Nothing complicated, just the address. She asked to place me on hold, but forgot to mute or actually place me on hold. I could hear her typing furiously for about 5 minutes. She came back and asked "Why you want the address?" "I would like to send them a letter. I have 4 address in different locations and I wanted to make sure I sent it to the correct one. Or sometimes companies have post office boxes or something they prefer customers use." "Well what addresses do you have?" "You... I.... You can't just give me the mailing address?" "No. What addresses do you have?" At this point I got suspicious and said "I have one in South Korea, one in Chicago, and two in Michigan." "Grand Rapids is right." "I have two though, one is 2345 Walker (true) and the other is 1200 Walker (false). Which is correct?" "They both work. Grand Rapids." "Wow... Thanks I guess." and hung up. So customer service can't even get an address right. Overall it was a fantastic vacuum, until it wasn't. Get the extended protection or probably plan on shelling out $100- 200 a year to replace it when it dies a month or two out of warranty. I would not this for anyone on a fixed income as it just adds to your expenses. TL/DR: Works great until the warranty is up. Then doesn't and customer service is useless. Get the extra protection or pay every year.

LOVE this vacuum. So light and easy to get a good vacuum in a few minutes, we both pick it up for a quick partial house vacuum whenever we notice a need. It easily gets under a good portion of the bed and sofa, the legs of furniture, and between spaces because it's not too wide and the handle drops very low. It completely cleans cat hair and dirt/dust off our hard floor and mats, but there is so much that a few days later it's worth running it again for 5 minutes. Separate handheld piece easily pops out for tight spaces, couch surfaces, with it's own attachments. Easy to clean and no need to change the filter constantly. We have to clean the inner and outer filter after every vacuum, but it is a snap. Easy to snap off the 2 parts and take both the inner and outer filter out to shake. The 2 filters clean up completely with a water rinse when needed. Roller easily pops out for cleaning. I can pull hair (the longer human kind) off the roller usually, and only pop out the roller if there's too much (the first few times I didn't think to check this and it had built up to cover the roller). Charging takes quite awhile after a long vacuuming session. I was able to completely cover a very hair-covered, dust-dirty 3 big rooms of hard flooring while moving furniture around the first time I used it, before re-charge needed.

I JUST OPENED THE BOX FOR THIS ITEM AND ALREADY OBSERVE THAT IT IS HIGH QUALITY AND APPARENTLY EASY TO USE AND AS DESCRIBED. BISSELL IS A RESPECTED COMPANY AND COMES FROM RESPECTED OUTLETS. IT IS WORTH THE PRICE TO INVEST IN SUCH A PRODUCT. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO USING IT. THE INSTRUCTIONS LOOK SIMPLE AS WELL. AFTER THE VERY SIMPLE ASSEMBLY, I NOTED ALL THE CONSTRUCTION WAS EXCELLENT. ALSO IT IS SO EASY TO USE AND VERY EFFICIENT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND FINE COMPANY !

I've bought 4 of these in the last 5 years because they are lightweight and do a basic job of vacuuming. They don't do edges or corners well or thicker carpets but for quick cleanup jobs they're okay. I like the removable hand vacuum to do upholstery or quick little jobs. The chargers don't last. When the vacuums stop charging it always turns put to be a dead wall charger. They cost $15-20 to replace which is better than buying a new unit but frustrating if they only last less than 1 year.
