says on device 10 amps. I kind of needed a 15 amp unit. nothing wrong with it, I will keep it for whatever else needs one of these but this one is not rated for 15 amp despite it saying it is, should have clued in on the smaller fuse I suppose.

All the wiring is spaded, so if for some reason you want to, you can replace it, e.g. change to heavier gauge. The fuse inside is a glass tube, mine says 15A.... To test the fuse and wiring I ran a 16A load for about 2 minutes. The wiring did not get warm at all. The fuse didn't blow, but I did not want to run higher to see where it would. The crescent terminals fit fine into a meanwell power supply screw-down terminals. Switch is stiff, unlikely to get accidentally turned on or off. Overall I'm happy with it. Used one on a power supply project, will find a use for the other someday. ... show more

My experience was just as another reviewer. Using this item for the same application with the same results. <<<This was used for my RatRig printer. Noticed it seemingly turned off. I went to turn off and on the power at the switch. Noticed the LED on regardless when flicking the switch. Felt warm. Decided to unplug. Good think I did. Upon inspection two wires had melted and must have short circuited.>>> The fuse never went out even though the switch was noticeably HOT and I could smell hot wires. Nothing else in the printer was hot. And my circuit breaker inside the printer never tripped. ... show more

I need to characterize some power supplies. As you can see in the picture, the supplies have their connections exposed. I mounted the socket in the black box to the left. I can disconnect both line and neutral with the built-in switch (as well as unplug the input power cord, for even more safety) while I connect the output of my black box to the unit under test. And if the unit fails, the socket's built-in fast-blow fuse will blow before the circuit breaker in the service panel has to pop. And the light in the switch reminds me that it's on, so I don't forget to turn it off. All that in one package: really handy! ... show more

The switch was a replacement for a damaged one on a Biqu B1 3D Printer. Exact replacement and looks to be high quality. I found this switch from several sources, but Amazon had a great price and Prime delivery. Amazon comes through again.

I needed a way to plug in a dc power supply, so I ordered this. The socket is ready to go out of the bag, no assembly required. The socket is pre-wired and has terminals connected to all wires. The socket has a fuse built in which should protect the DC power supply from a surge and makes me feel a little safer knowing that there is a safety measure added to the socket. The wires are already hooked up make the replacement a simple task. Just hoke up the Ground, Positive, and negative leads to you power supply. This is a direct replacment part. Screws in to the same holes on my printers control box. You can get a little cheeper product but have the wires already hooked up and getting new wires is worth the cost.
