What a piece of junk. I've built dozens and dozens of mining rigs, and I've *never* had the issues I've had with this as the motherboard. Amazing. Everything from PCI-E riser incompatibility problems, to the fact that these amateurs require a bios update in order to support 60% of the CPU's that go in this socket....but you can't update the danm bios without having a compatible CPU installed. It is unbelievably frustrating. Half the time the keyboard and mouse aren't recognized and won't receive any power from the USB ports. Sometimes it will cause the PSU to cycle on and off repeatedly, just bizarre. Do NOT buy this board unless you 100% know you have a compatible processor. Save yourself the headaches. I've tried about 5 of these boards so far, and all the other parts I referenced were double-checked as functional in other rigs. Booooo, Biostar, Boooo! ... show more

  • Well performing for crypto mining
Works very well for crypto mining. I am running 4 nVidia GPUs and 4 AMD GPUs on this board with windows 10. Enabling the mining mode for 6+ GPUs in the BIOS, along with a couple other tweaks made everything work beautifully. Been mining stable now on this MB for about a month.

  • So Far so good
I was able to connect all 8 of my Nvidia cards to this motherboard. After reading some reviews, I opted out of upgrading the BIOS on the board. Glad I listened. Zero issues so far.

  • Motherboard didn't work despite direct help from manufacturer
Had to return the motherboard as I could not get any video output. This motherboard only has DVI out for the onboard graphics, which seems like a really poor choice as I don't know anyone who uses DVI. Tried troubleshooting the issue - the manufacturer customer service replied promptly to my email each time but I couldn't get it to work despite their help. The Amazon listing also doesn't clearly state that it can only take 7th gen Intel chips. So I wasted almost two months waiting for a replacement processor thanks to supply chain issues. I've built a lot of computers and never had as much trouble as I've had with this motherboard. Don't bother, go look elsewhere for a mining motherboard. I guess it's better that I dodged a bullet and used a different motherboard rather than stick with this poorly made one. ... show more

works good. I have 10 cards in one (8 - 1060, and 2 Vega 56) and 8 1080TI cards in the other. no faults. Manual isn't great, and online documentation is poor - but if you know your way around PCs you can figure it out. You have to change onboard video to IGFX instead of auto if you want the display to stay with onboard. I matched my boards to a Pentium G4560 CPU because it is about the cheapest CPU with hyperthreading. I don't think the cheapest Intel Celerons very well support 8 1080TI's mining. My cousin tried that route and his CPU is at 80-90%, while my Pentium is at 50% load. ... show more

  • Very Poor Quality
The quality of this brand of motherboard is very poor. Tried 3 six PCie version and PCie 3 in all of them were nonfunctional. Tried an eight PCIe version and it was DOA. I am trying 4 of the 12 PCIe version and two was DOA. Only one is working for now. i haven't tried the fourth one yet. It's very frustrating. Poor quality manufacturing and quality control. The enduser evaluations are all bad between several vendors. ... show more

  • Solid Board when setup properly
I brought this board as part of setting up my first mining rig. Some of the frustrations I've run into with using products I purchased could have been caused more by my own inexperience than any product issues. That being said this is my honest assessment of the Biostar TB250-BTC PRO. I ran into a lot of frustration getting the bios set correctly on this motherboard. Some of the issues I ran into include, on-board video settings, boot priorities and bios time/date settings. I have worked through all of these issues and am currently happy with my miner running AMD RX 580 graphics cards. Motherboard is solid when setup properly. Still haven't gotten the time/date set properly but I've developed a work around that suits my needs perfectly. ... show more
