I bought both the brown and the black. Fabric is light but not non-existent. I handwashed as the material can snag. I would not put it in the washer or dryer personally. Perfect for the summer because it’s so aerated and open knit. I wear it with high waisted pants because the fit is cropped but it’s not too short. Recently discovered that the neckline/bodice of a dress I bought was vaguely uneven, but I loved the fit & style & didn't want to give up on it, so I bought this crochet crop top to help mask the issue. The picture looked a touch cream, and I was afraid it would be too off-white and clash with the white flower pattern on the dress, but it wasn't! The color is pretty much exactly as pictured! This has the potential to be a cute top just not on MY 50-year-old menopausal body. It just didn't work for what I was looking for which was to break up my chubby body and move the eye to my better features - not sure which ones they are, lol, so yes, I returned this shirt. I usually wear a XL, with a 41" bust and because the size chart isn't correct, I took a chance and ordered the L in the white as that was the color I was looking for and it was the largest with the short sleeves. It is made of a soft material, and I think the price point is good. This is definitely wearable and would look good with all sorts of different outfits but possibly best for the younger more hip and happening crowd.
