Long review short, do not buy. Longer in-depth review. I really love the idea of this safe and figured it would be a perfect fit for my needs. A quick-access gun safe that used a fingerprint to open. Sounds great, right? In this case, WRONG. I am very glad that Amazon easily takes returns; otherwise, I would not have made the initial purchase. Here are the reasons why I cannot recommend this safe. Half the time, it doesn’t readily open with your fingerprint. When it finally decides it does want to open, its internal spring is WAY too powerful, and the slide mechanism violently ejects out of the top. When I finally had the safe in a perfect spot for my vehicle, I decided to actually run a test of the safe with my unloaded firearm. Once again, when it finally decided to work with my fingerprint, it opened up again very violently, which in turn rocketed my firearm out of the foam molding designed to hold the firearm. The internal spring is so powerful that my firearm dislodged from the foam and smashed into the top metal bracket that slides out of the safe, leaving unrepairable marks into the frame of my brand-new unfired revolver.

The media could not be loaded. After several uses the box top latch gets stuck and doesn’t open. Soon after I started having issues trying to secure the latch, it won’t secure until after several forced attempts. Very disappointing.

This car gun safe is extremely well designed and gives real peace of mind on the road. The upward-eject opening is impressively fast—when it unlocks, the lid pops up and your firearm is right there. It’s a smart design that makes access quick without feeling complicated. One of the best things about it is how well it fits in the narrow space between the seat and center console. It stays hidden, doesn’t get in the way, and still keeps your firearm within easy reach. It fit my vehicle perfectly with no adjustments needed. The access options are also great. The fingerprint reader is quick and reliable, and the keypad gives you another fast way to open it. Having physical keys as a backup is a nice extra layer of reassurance. Inside, the padding keeps everything from getting scratched during travel. The build quality feels very solid. It’s made from sturdy steel and comes with hardware so you can bolt it down securely, which is important if you ever leave the car unattended. I also like that you can bring it inside and use it by the bed if you want extra security at night. Overall, it’s fast, solid, and thoughtfully designed. A five-star safety upgrade for any responsible gun owner.

I've had this biometric pistol safe mounted to my nightstand for about five months now, and the upward eject mechanism is hands down the most convenient feature. My firearm is instantly accessible without any awkward reaching or fumbling in the dark. Setting up multiple fingerprints for both my husband and myself took less than ten minutes, and the keypad backup gives me confidence that we'll never be locked out in an emergency. The low-profile design tucks neatly against the nightstand without looking out of place, and the solid construction feels impressively sturdy for a safe in this price range. If I had one small suggestion, I'd love a slightly longer battery life indicator warning, but overall this is exactly the kind of reliable, fast-access security solution every responsible gun owner should have in their home.

Does not fit a p320 at all if you have a red dot sight on it or a flash light. And ejects very slowly when a gun is inside. Also the charging cord is very cheap.

The finger print system doesn't work, so I returned it. The spring that is inside is to strong because it causes the gun to fly right out of the safe when opened.

This safe has a good concept and if it worked properly it would actually be a good value at $150. Mounting it on the nightstand was not complicated, but putting the unit together was. The internal spring that controls the upward opening is too strong and the lid does not open reliably. That alone is a major issue for something meant to provide quick and silent access. The fingerprint reader worked during setup, but it did not consistently recognize my fingerprint when trying to open the safe. That is a serious problem in an emergency when you need it to work instantly. A gun safe cannot be hit or miss with biometric access. The size is fine for a handgun by itself, but if you run a flashlight or a red dot sight you are pushing the limits of the interior space. It is not designed with extra room for accessories. Overall, the idea is good but the execution is not dependable enough for something that needs to function perfectly every time.
