I have a whiteboard next to me on the wall, but I find myself using this desk one far more. Very sturdy, glass top is easy to clean and at least the black ink is easily readable on it. Flip-top storage area is neat, but I ended up 3d-printing myself a little marker and eraser-holder to stick to the side which keeps a those things in quick easy reach (search for "desktop whiteboard" on printables if you'd like to print one for yourself)

The marker writes very well on the board. It’s a perfect size for our home office desk. I like that there is also storage inside to hold little office supplies if needed. The eraser for the board is perfect. We can leave writing on the board for weeks and it erases right off.

The interior supports are thick, which makes it durable, but also top heavy, so it is prone to flipping backwards if you are not careful when openning it. Otherwise very useful/handy height for sitting underneath your monitor and making notes for yourself for later. The white pen is a bit "chalky", and you may find you want to use a spray bottle of something (even just water) to get it off if it has dried (mostly to capture the white chalk dust on a paper towel, etc.), but it is still easy to clean. Overall I quite like the white writing on black effect in contrast to traditional white boards.

This is a convenient addition to my desktop but the surface of the galss is imperfect with considerable "pitting". So when you erase it traces of the ink are left in the pits. You have to wet wash it with a cloth to get it clean again. Just plain poor quality. After posting this I was contacted by the seller and their response was great! The went out of their way to make it right, sending me a replacement.

** update ** Seller was very helpful and promptly sent me a replacement. Great customer service and replacement was perfect. What I liked: - overall design is neat - dividers in box seem solid - packaging seems good What i didn't like (and hence the low star rating): - when this box was assembled, the glass top is adhered to the actual lid which is sensible. As you can see (in the pictures) the glass was not aligned properly when adhered to the box. This probably sounds like a minor thing but actually looks pretty bad in-person, especially for the cost. - marker included is not great, but overall is pretty easy to overlook

I bought this for my desk at work, to cut down on post its and be able to remember the stuff that gets asked of me on the fly. The black glass is very smooth with no blemishes and the white pen shows up very well. The pen itself is writes nicely with no skipping or fading and requires a little pressure to wipe off so I don't think it will smear too easy. And having a little extra storage on the desk top is nice.
