I've only had this for 2 weeks and so far it's good. It came with a lot of "spots" on the lid (not removable, in the actual finish of the galvanized metal), but it goes outside, so I accepted it. I use a a narrow-width, long-handled shovel to put droppings into it (I use plastic grocery bag inside the "can") for my 18# dog. Holds plenty (omg) bef. I have to empty it. Only time will tell how long it lasts in the elements. I DO think the price is too high compared to real-sized step on trash can for a similar price or even less. But, the step opener continues to work, so far. If I have a later problem, I WILL edit my review, bec. that's what I DO!! ... show more

We needed a new container outside, hopefully waterproof, for our dog's poo bags. It's awesome having the foot control, so you don't have to touch it. There's a good-sized lip on the lid that goes over the can, which keeps the weather/water out very well. The inner plastic liner with the handle is great, easily lifts out to empty it into a bigger bag for trash day. It looks nice too. We couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. Okay I had a really niche use for this, but it was for a raccoon-themed crafting project where the raccoon would be sitting in a trash can. I was looking EVERYWHERE to find an option that looks like a real metal trash can that was a decent size / not too big that had a hinge lid. This ended up being the perfect option. One thing I don’t like is the bucket on the inside (there isn’t a solid bottom beneath the bucket) which I assume would be an upside to those actually using it for its intended purpose, haha. ... show more

Bought this to replace the poop waste bin we had. So far it has served its purpose. It has kept water and insects out of the waste bin and we are able to use the plastic bags we have collected over the years (no need to buy specific bags for the bin).

It’s nice looking but the bags that should fit it won’t stay up because of the inside bucket handle, therefore the dog poo just falls into the bucket. And the bags are super thin.
