Features

  • Superior Performance: With its 56 cc, 2-cycle gasoline engine that reaches a rated speed of 8500 rpm, delivers 2.5 Nm of max torque, and offers 3.1 HP, this gas chainsaw makes light work of various intricate and demanding cutting tasks. Use a 40:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for the engine.
  • Smooth Cutting: The chainsaw is equipped with a recoil starter for easy pull start, a 22-inch bar and chain that cut through limbs fast, and a high-quality carburetor that makes it work more efficiently and save fuel.
  • Long-Lasting & Consistent: The chain saw features an air cleaning system that actively expels large dust and debris particles before they reach the air filter. An automatic oiler ensures the chain receives a consistent flow of lubricating oil during operation, enabling the saw to maintain peak performance for years to come.
  • User-Focused Design: The lightweight, ergonomic body and the anti-vibration system provide unsurpassed comfort. The low kickback safety function reduces the risk during operation, and an automatic, inertia-activated chain brake enhances safety.

  • Save your money for a better saw
I own half a dozen chainsaws, both gas & battery. Needed a saw this size for a specific job cutting sections of hemlock about 24” diameter, and at this price point I did not expect a stellar saw, but this one underperformed even those low expectations. It made one cut through the tree trunk successfully, then the saw began smelling hot suddenly halfway through the next cut. I have a lot of experience with chainsaws & was just allowing the saw to cut at its own rate, not forcing it at all. I stopped the cut immediately. The saw just died and would not restart again, ever, no matter what I did to try & make all the usual adjustments with a fussy gas saw. No luck. I finished the job with a Milwaukee M18 battery saw, which handled it with ease, so it’s not like I was asking too much of this “Built Hard.” So save your money for the Milwaukee or Caterpillar battery saws, both of which perform really well. I am about done with gas chainsaws at this point (they can be fussy, often unreliable, need mixed fuel, are loud, spew 2-cycle exhaust) but will be keeping my Ryobi gas saw, which performs extremely reliably. Otherwise, a good battery saw is the go-to every time these days. The Milwaukee M18 is exceptional. ... show more

  • 22" Bilt Hard Chainsaw, strong straight and true cuts.
The gasoline cap gasket is junk and started leaking badly by the 3rd tank refill. After refilling, double check the gas cap seal to make sure gasket seated correctly. The gasket seems to be just neoprene rubber and has softened & swollen. I finally had to find a nitrile or viton o-ring to replace it by the 6th tank full. I will probably replace the bar oil tank cap gasket also, at it seems to be starting to swell. Otherwise I am liking my Bilt Hard 22" chainsaw, cuts straight and true. Well built and rugged. Easy start when following the starting instructions provided. ... show more

  • This item sucks.
If you’re remotely thinking of buying this chainsaw, don’t. We bought by just looking at the few first reviews which were great. Needless to say we should have looked further. Many 1 star reviews , and 1 of the reviews was what happened to us. We literally used it 5 minutes and it shut down never to start again. We checked everything that we were requested to do by the seller to no avail. So if you think it’s a good deal, trust me it’s not. ... show more

  • Incredible price
This thing is a beast, I have cut thru 18" oak trees like butter and no bogging down at all. Beats out my Poulan and Ryobi by a long shot.

  • Good first impression!
I just received my new chain saw from Bilt Hard and was impressed with the quality. It was much heavier and better quality than I expected for the price. It cranked right up and has performed well so far.
