I clung to my trusty office chair for a decade, but finally waved the white flag when it declared war on my back. I am notoriously picky—my mom always said I was the Princess in that Princess in the Pea story, spotting lumps like a professional detective. So, off I went on an epic online quest for a new throne to plan world dominance in! At a mighty 4'10" with a double-wide booty, I needed something comfy and roomy, hence my deep dive into the Big and Tall section. Seriously, why are chairs so narrow nowadays? Not everyone is built like a 13-year-old boy, you know! (Sigh.) Anyhow, when I finally laid eyes on my new chair-in-a-box, I was thrilled! It's a sleek, deep shade of matte black, has ample cushion, and the quilted design added a touch of flair and extra cushiony goodness. Assembly? A breeze! However, it turned out a smidge too tall for me, so I have to channel my inner gymnast to climb aboard. It's a simple hop and hoist and wiggle backward, my feet are 3-4 inches off the floor. That part is a bit dissapointing sometimes when my hop and hoist is gone after a long day. But once settled, it’s like sitting on a dream—plenty of room for my hips to breathe! The recline? Well, it's got the tension of an exercise band. It's doesnt fall back. You have to brace your foot onto an object and push back and you have to stay like that. Despite my best knob-twiddling, no luck. I;m dissapointed about this feature because I love a good zero-gravity float to ponder the mysteries of life, but this chair's not giving it up. However, my back does feel better and while I lost my reclining option, I do still have a spin option. I could just sit here and spin, singing show tunes all day! Still, it’s a stunner and oh-so-comfy. Even my cats approve! So, if you’re looking for a chair that’s easy to assemble, comfy as a cloud, and a spin-tastic joyride, this one’s your jam. I’m practically a spinning top, belting out tunes and loving the back support. A solid purchase indeed! ... show more
