The media could not be loaded. I love this little Moka pot. It is perfect for two! I would recommend that you spend an extra $22 for the matching Bialetti diffuser IF YOU HAVE A GLASS TOP STOVE. The heat from a glass burner will cause the enamel (green) of this pot to discolor. It won’t ruin the taste of your coffee but it will just make the pot look lousy. I love love love the Moka Alpina… my great grandfather wore one so this makes me feel a little more connected to my Italian ancestry. Always remember to NEVER wash this with soap. Just a wipe with a paper towel and a good rinse with clean water. Don’t reassemble it until all the parts are dry. That’s my tip! ... show more

Beautiful color. Cute Moka Pot. The amount of coffee it makes no more than half a cup and that's being generous. The description says it's three cups and then in parentheses it shows 4.3 ozs. Confusing. But the actual coffee that it makes is about 4 oz. Hardly worth the trouble. So if you're one person who likes one shot of espresso in the morning, it's perfect. If you're two people that each want a nice espresso in the morning, def not big enough. ... show more

When I first ordered this, they sent me the plain silver moka pot, but once I received the correct moka pot, I was thrilled with it. I typically use it to make a strong brew that I then pour over ice to make an iced coffee. The coffee it makes is fantastic, a nice rich velvety taste that I can’t coax out of the same grinds using just a traditional pot. It is very easy to use and clean. Simply, unscrew the top and it comes apart in seconds. The actual pot itself is beautiful. I bought this version because it reminded me of Robin Hood though I know it’s marketed as the alpine version. The feather for the hat makes the perfect thumb lever to open the top and avoid being burnt. I would definitely recommend this for coffee lovers or Robin Hood fans! ... show more

Who knew a Moka pot's cap could be both stylish and functional? The Alpina is a bit taller than my 1970s Moka pot, thereby slowing the travel of coffee ever so slightly: this provides an increase in flavor quality. However, the feather in the cap and the pin are a plastic composite, not aluminum; I fear they will break/ degrade in time. ... show more

This makes a really great single espresso however it is not the best when it comes to cleaning. The bottom part discolors and you aren’t able to get it back to normal no matter what you attempt to clean it with.

This little pot makes me smile every morning I use it. It is easy to clean and makes a great cup of espresso, just like all other moka pots. I don't have any issue with it not having a handle on the top because I just grab the plastic feather to lift the lid. So far so good!
