This is a great item bu.t does not last into the second season. I am on my 3rd one in as many years and bought another one just because I needed an immediate replacement without having to change fittings. Next year I am going to shop for something difference

Died after a few hours of use. Installed in late April. Died May 22nd. Only turn on a couple of times we haven't even got into the pool yet its been too cold.

I bought this 1500 GPH pump 2 years ago for my 8 x 14 ft Bestway pool after reading how the original 1000 GPH pump (Which is still in the box) that came with the pool was too weak to do the job. It worked really good throughout the whole summer of 2024. We tore down the pool for the winter and set it all up again last summer of 2025 and the pump was still running strong. I decided to not tear the pool down and have been maintaining/running the pump throughout the winter. Now my 3rd summer (2026) is approaching along with it running all winter, it is still working great and keeps the water clean and circulating. I haven't had any problems at all for 2 years so far. I've always scooped out the dirty water with a little cup whenever I changed the filters to completely remove any leftover dirt and debri to help relieve any extra stress to the motor and to keep it from re-entering the pool. Not sure if that is a key point in the longevity of the pump motor, but it's been a really good pump for my 8 x 14 ft pool.

Pump deserves all 5 stars. Bought the first Bestway 1500 GPH in spring of 2024 and ran it a minimum of 2 hours every day until April of 2026 when it started having problems. Living in FL our above ground pool stays up all year. Bought this second one and for the cost and amount of use, there are no complaints with price or function. Easy to install. The pump runs quietly and has very good flow. Wish vendor would show model number in description.

Pump works great!! Biggest downfall is the timer!!!!!! 10 hours is the max it will run. Which means during the summer it's going to be hard to leave the house longer than over night. I don't have anyone to come over to turn it back on. 90 plus degree heat, full sun and the water sitting stagnate causes problems!!!!
