We previously had the Bestway 10X16 oval pool, and this one is a much better quality, from the steel poles and their protective coating to the pool liner being made of sturdier material. We are glad we upgraded, although it had more to do with the size difference and the price, as it was on sale. The one thing I dislike about this model is that the motor has an automatic shut off of 2,4,6,8,10, or 12 hours so it only runs for a period of time, and shuts off. I would think that a larger pool with more water would need more circulation and cleaning, and yet this one doesn’t automatically, unless it is trying to preserve the pump life? Our other, smaller model ran constantly, and was never an issue for the amount of time that we had the pool. I will say the other, smaller model came with a tarp to put down under, and although not a quality material, was useful in protecting the liner from the ground. Knowing that, we purchased a heavy duty tarp from Tractor Supply to put down, and we are glad we did, as this model didn’t come with one. Overall, we love it and have no regrets about purchasing it, and will just keep turning the pump back on! 😉 ... show more

I was skeptical purchasing any pool anywhere, not just from online, in stores as well. There is always a risk! Well, my boyfriend and I scoured for a pool that would properly fit our patio size! Unfortunately, we had to choose an oval one, but it is still a pool regardless! We pur based the 16×10 one, and it fits PERFECTLY. I cannot stress how easy it was to set up, our pool got to our home almost immediately, I was extremely shocked. We have had ZERO ISSUES. More importantly, NO LEAKS. Ahead of setting the pool up, my boyfriend had went and purched foam floor mats that attach to each other like a puzzle, and we placed those on the patio to size. We set up the pool on top of that, also covering the mats with the included ground cover! This helps with having a soft touch for your feet in the pool!! This pool includes the frame, pool, ladder, hoses, pump, ground cover and pool cover!! We purchased a simple Intex deluxe cleaning kit off Amazon as well, and it works perfectly with it! So far there havent been any issues with our purchases and we are more that satisfied, happy customers who keep recommending you purchase this pool! ... show more

The pool arrived on time! The box claimed a 30-minute setup. False! LOL! It takes that long to unpack and lay everything out. ;) However, the setup was fairly easy. I did put an underlayment down, as the pool is on my patio and despite cleaning it thoroughly, I didn’t want to run any risks of a pebble puncturing the bottom. It seems quite sturdy; it handles the rambunctious activity of 10, 11, and 13 year old boys. The bad news? The pump that comes with it is inadequate. The flow is minimal, not really allowing the water to circulate well. And a month in, the pump has gone kaput. It powers on, but no water flow in/out. I’ve disassembled and reassembled it, no luck. One would think that a quality pump would accompany such a pool, but now I’m left to purchase a whole new pump to ensure my pool doesn’t turn into a swampy cesspool of crap. The cover that comes with it is quite tricky and not a 1-person job. And the strings that are threaded in the top to cinch it don’t have any kind of “stop” on them, so they’re easily pulled within the liner, never to be seen again unless you can somehow manage to rethread it in without damaging the cover. It did say a ground cover was supplied, but there wasn’t one in the box. No biggie. Found a giant tarp at Lowe’s. The ladder could be a little sturdier, but so far, so good. Overall, happy with the purchase! Just take the other reviewer’s word and invest in a better pump right up front and avoid the frustration! ... show more

So, we wanted a small pool for a family of 3. We did our research and landed on this pool. It arrived at 100+ lbs and came on a semi (problem #1 as we are rural). Got the pool unboxed. The videos made it seem like you could put it together in 30 minutes - NOT SO. It takes an 1+ depending on if you do it solo or with help. I did it alone and didn't use some of the whimpier parts like the pump and ladder. Those two items alone should lower the cost. The pool cover and tarp are also total crap. I recommend spraying each part with cooking spray to ensure that you can disconnect the pool for winter storage. The pool itself is great! Perfect for us. We purchased a solar cover from Amazon and placed a much larger pump and ladder into the setup. We used multiple tarps on the ground for additional cover. Good pool for the price (should be lower for the earlier mentioned issues). ... show more

The instructions were terribly written. The diagrams were drawn small and hard to see. Aside from that, the materials for the pool are cheap and flimsy (e.g. plastic and vinyl). The pump doesn't work good at all and is already leaking. I have had to spend $400 outside of what I paid for the pool which is very disappointing and I just wanted to warn people to consider buying a different brand of above-ground pool. ... show more

We have a strange oval yard and this pool fit perfectly!! It's big enough for 15 nine year olds! My daughter and her friends love it. She's in it everyday! We had to level the ground but the filter works great. We use chlorine and that's about it. Easy to take care of. Will probably leave it up all year round. Great pool! ... show more

it does take longer to set up than they say but once leveled and filled it is a great buy so far just make you dont depend on the pump filter they give u with it , its junk, we bought a sand filter to make sure we didnt have any probs. cost a little more but worth the cost. also purchased a skimmer kit for it about $20 but helps to keep it clean make sure you buy bestway sand filter so it will connect up right...sand filter was about $260 and use the good sand in it trust me!! ... show more
