This Bestway 118" Rectangular Splash Frame Pool is a great size for families with young children and small spaces. The shallow depth of the pool makes it a great swimming pool for kids who are becoming more adept at paddling. The frame of the family swimming pool is made by joining steel poles together with 'T' connectors and 'C' clips. These hold the pool liner and tough PVC and polyester outer wall in place, creating the rectangular shape of the above ground pool. The Bestway 118" rectangular Splash Frame Pool also has a built-in flow control drain valve, which can be attached to a garden hose to fill the pool or drain it of water.     • Good bang for the Buck! UPDATE 2020
UPDATE: After about 3.5 years a wind storm wrecked this pool as I had no water in it - after checking the damage I noticed 2 frame pipes were rusted/rotted at the joints. That's not to bad - I believe if I had used a pool cover and taken better care of it it would still be usable today. I actually just bought another one. I think these could possibly last 6-8 years IF you take care of them. Use a cover to protect the exposed frame pipes. I bought this pool for my son who is 7. He loves it -All parts are present - none missing. There were a couple rails without labels - but the construction is so intuitive it won't matter. The pool is up and working just fine. One minor issues was the side rails - I could not figure out why they have the holes for a male to female locking button, because the rails that hook to them do not have the male button.. That wasted time as I tried to figure that out (thought maybe I was missing parts) - I guess it's just how they designed them - It did NOT effect the sturdiness of the finished product though that I can tell - More details in the video I'm including. UPDATE: The intex pump that is recommended for this at purchase does work technically (and it works really well to keep the pool "Crystal" clear - I only run it when needed and the filter can be cleaned - so you do NOT have to go out and buy new ones every few weeks as recommended) they do include one adaptor for the upper inside connection that pumps cleaned water into the pool - make sure you use it. The lower one that sucks the water out has no adaptor so that the screen will fit "properly" (fits but not perfectly as it should) but you really don't need that screen anyways - if you want to use it just put the plastic screen part over top the suction will hold it down. I'm going to try and find a proper sized adaptor though as the skimmer I bought (intex) will be more secure connection wise with it. UPDATE with photos - few weeks ago I was getting it ready and had drained the pool completely - that night a wind storm made the pool apart of my fence.. but the good news is it suffered no serious damage - no liner holes!     • Easy to set up. Fun for the kids and family
This pool is perfect if you don't have a lot of space and want to create some fun pool environment for your kids in the summer. We have one child who returns from day camp exhausted and sometimes has lots of unstructured hours on the weekend. He loves to spend them in the pool. Hanging out with friends, his parents, or just on his own. The pool is easy to set up and knock down. No more than two hours on each end. I set it up at the beginning of summer and knock it down at the end of august and store the entire thing so it's out of sight, out of mind. Purchase a filter. It will help keep everything clean and pool cleaner. Also a cleaning kit (net, vacuum, etc,) helps a lot. Since I put it on a slab, I purchased a lock together soft floor to place underneath it this summer. Makes it a lot more comfortable. The pool material seems good. Second year and no leaks or tears. And there were days when 6-7 kids were in there going nuts. I'm very happy with it for the price, convenience, and quality. ... show more

    • Perfect for 2 & 4 year old
I waited all summer to leave my review so I could have a good grasp on how well it worked out. It was absolutely perfect. The sides are very firm and sturdy. We did lay a big piece of carpet underneath which made the bottom very nice. Roomy enough for two adults to sit and two young children to play. It was too deep for the 2 year old to go without swimming vest but he didn't mind. Two things I will mention: 1) I purchased the Bestway pump because some reviews said others didn't fit well. It fit well but really didn't do a good job. Not sure what I would recommend but this pump I would skip. 2) Since the pool is so small it would be overkill to buy a vacuum. I ended up sweeping dirt with a broom to one corner and then using a 5 ft. tube and siphoning out the dirt once it settled. The rest I had a skimmer net and scooped out. Also it is small enough to just let out some water and refill (if you don't have to pay for water). We only used chlorine and nothing else. ... show more

I won’t lie - I was a little worried about buying this pool. We’ve always used the easy set blow ups and like to stick to what we know. However the kids are bigger and we really needed a bigger pool and something my dog wouldn’t pop when she got in them. I bought this pool and set it up in May. It’s July 27 2022 and I have to admit this is a pretty awesome pool. I didn’t buy the filter because I had the old filter from the East set. It was a little snug fitting into the connectors but it worked. As an adult - I absolutely love playing in it. 5’6 135 pounds and I can sit on my bottom and the water comes up to my chest. It’s awesome for people like me who wanna sit and relax and wade in water. It appears bigger then the round ones but I think that’s just an illusion because of its shape. The instructions can be written better - Along with the labeling of the pools. But if you’ve got common sense you can figure it out. Took me about an hour to set up but it took about 1 week to get it level. I would NOT trust this pool to be off level even the smallest amount. Also I used some scrape pieces of wood to help level the poles out. I’m still worry about the seams ripping apart so I do make sure to tell the boys to play carefully and don’t push off the side of the pool. But overall I was and still am pleased with the pool . Couldn’t beat it for $100 Hopefully it’ll be okay I’m storage over the winter and we can use it again. I’ll update the post next year after it’s been one year since setting it up. ... show more

Great gateway pool moving up from smaller kiddie pools. Our boys were 6 and 98th percentile tall at time of purchase and this is perfect. I expect to use it for a few seasons then go larger. This is well made and I put it up alone. It does not come with anything but the pool. I separately purchased a tarp, interlocking foam blocks, a real filter rated for a much larger pool, a hang over the edge skimmer (a must!), filter sand, chlorine floater and tablets, and a kit so I could vacuum it. Everything should get multiple seasons of use. I love taking care of it and the kids love it. Big enough I can get in and get wet (albeit sitting down!). I recommend. My only complaint is that my pool is Bestway and my skimmer and vacuum are Intex (super close when comparing the pool in both brands but not identical). I am commited but maybe when you purchase make sure your skimmer and vacuum are Bestway. The biggest issue is that I haven't found a perfect wall adapter yet though am using an intex one I bought at the pool store. But it works so far if not being perfect. ... show more

FIVE stars for Pool - ONE (ZERO if they had it) for CUSTOMER SUPPORT: I cant think of any complaints about the pool. As a matter of fact. I am shocked how big and well made it is for the LOW PRICE. EXTREMELY satisfied with the pool itself. My kids love it but it is for older kids and adults. BUT beware!! the COMPANY IS UNREACHABLE by phone,email OR website. VERY bad. I do not like this. also that it has the filter but instructions say that you cannot use an extention cord at all. NOWHERE did it say that in the advertisement here nor did I see that in reviews. How are you supposed to use the filter if you cant use a cord to go out to yard. SOME have and electrical outlet in the yard but I doubt it is many. That is how I found out the customer support is UNREACHABLE!! Luckily my brother is a master carpenter and electritian and he says not to even worry. Just to buy a outdoor sturdy (thicker) extention cord & it is FINE. ALSO some reviewers said that the pump isnt necessary and didnt make much difference. I do not agree. We used it for a few weeks without it because we had read that comment. BUT it wansnt staying clean enough for our taste. After hooking up the filter pump I can say with confidence that it works much better than expected, expecially for a freebie and DOES truly make a difference in the pool. ALSO we use 1/2 cup of bleach everynite to keep it sterile. NOT the chlorine tables that cost more money. We bought a cover & a good net. You may need these accesories or not. We are surrounded by huge old pine trees on our small 1/16 ACRE so maybe we have more need of the cover. I do suggest it though as the water attracts misquitos. ... show more

    • So worth it if you just want to float
Purchased in April 2020, it has served us well for 3 summers. Used solely by 2 adults who just want to float on rafts in the cool water, this pool has never had kids in it, thus no splashing and jostling. We use it with a pump and floating chlorine dispenser and it's been perfect for our needs. Just last week we noticed the ground along one side has been wet consistently and upon examination saw a seam along the bottom appears to have separated a bit causing a slow leak. We're sure we could continue using it for the next month until taking it down for the season but we don't want it to have a massive failure and dump the chlorinated water all over our landscaping, so we're just going to buy the same model again. Yes, there is a bit of rust on the poles through normal use but we just sprayed them with Rustoleum mostly for aesthetics. Its a great pool for adults who just want to sit or float in it and we're happy we got 3 years out of it. ... show more
