My daughter has an above ground pool and it came with a filter. But she had such a hard time trying to get this pool clean and not cloudy. It’s always been a struggle. Now I have a pull up my house in Florida and my pump runs year-round and I never seem to have a problem. She had a sand filter that the pool company said was way too small for that size pool. They suggested that we get a bigger GPH filter pump that uses cartridges and not Sand. So we found this best way 2500 GPH filter pump for above ground swimming poles. It takes a type IV – B cartridge. This was a very easy set up. I really like the idea of the videos that were in the description online. It really helped with us setting this up. Once put together installed and ready to go we found that the water flow was excellent. The suction going into the hoses and the flow coming out of the hoses into the pool was phenomenal. Her old filter had to run 24 hours a day now it only has to run about five. This will save her a lot of money in the long run just with her electric bill.

It’s okay. My previous filter had filter balls in it, which were kind of a pain, but I would’ve dealt with it. I drove my lawnmower over the cord to that pump so I had to replace it and this is the one I chose to replace it with it works just fine. It uses filter cartridges, which was a change for me, but the one thing I didn’t like about it was the fact that it doesn’t continuously run. I have historically run my pool pump and filter 24 seven this only runs for like 10 hours, and then I have to go out and manually reset it which is a pain to have to remember to do. Wow it does its job. It’s adorable. It doesn’t leak. It’s a nice size, I will probably replace it just because I can’t go out there every 10 hours to reset it and then when that gets lost or fall behind then your pool’s not pumping and filtering and I don’t like that.

This is my second 2500 gph pump for an 8000gl 24x12x52 Bestway steel. The pump is worth it, easy to change out filters, and I take the old filter and stick it in the washing machine and it's ready to use, at least 2 more times. Don't waste your money on any pump LESS than 2500gph. You will not get the circulation that you really want or need.

This product did not last a month and I am not having any luck returning a defective pump to the vendor for a refund. It did not even last 30 days

My other pump was going out. Came to Amazon for a replacement. Powerful motor. Very quiet while sitting by pool. Installing was just like previous pump. Functions super. Keeps pool extra clean. The price was just right. Plus the company gave me a partial refund because of a delay in shipping. Excellent pump with superb service.
