My wife and I wanted to get a break from the brutal summer temperatures in Arizona but didn't want to have a pool built for $50K, so we rented the Bestway 9 x 18 foot pool last summer. It fit perfectly in our backyard and kept us cool all summer. So we decided to buy one of our own and did at the end of the summer, storing the pool in our shed until summer. (Note: I made sure and register the warranty once I inventoried all the parts.) I assembled the pool in a few hours (placed on pavers over a heavy duty tarp) by myself and filled it the same day. (I did do prep work a few days ahead and figured out all the attachments and the pump/filter.) It is exactly the same as the one we rented so I'm already familiar with how it operates. Well, nothing ever goes as smoothly as you would like and this was no exception. When I started up the pump I discovered that the seal around the top of the filter selector valve (backwash, rinse, drain, run, etc.) was leaking. I tried tightening the screws which didn't help. So I went online to the Bestway website, logged in and created a warranty claim, describing the problem and uploading the requested photos and information. I received a reply the next day acknowledging the warranty claim and then the day after that got an email approving my claim and two days later had the new valve! Amazing service! And the new valve works perfectly. We're ready for a cool summer!

Ive have had the pool now for a whole year, pool its self has been fine, the pump has stopped working and the cover is very cheap. Get yourself a different cover.

This pictures where taken less than 2 years of purchase, but the pool becomes a hazard within a year, at the end the pool was dismantled to avoid personal injuries. Material, construction and design all are faulty and create a dangerous combination, even if you decide you want to replace the broken pieces you will find yourself looking at hours of chasing their customer service, out of stock parts for months and not clear way to replace them. They make it particularly difficult so the “only option” becomes buying a whole new pool, This product is disposable and should be labeled like that. I hope this review helps show that the product will be unusable with in year.

Make sure you prep your ground accordingly before assembly! Level and clear from any debris, roots, sticks, rocks to ensure a smooth set up. Comes with ground cover but not the pavers you need for each support pole. Easy set up once the ground was ready! Pool is almost 5,000 gallons. Our pool had a tiny hole in the liner but I received a $250 refund for the trouble and was able to patch it.

We were limited on space yet wanted something that was big enough to move around in. Our last pool was 14' round and not enough room for 2 adults on floaties to move around. We have a new tree growing in the middle of the yard and needed something to fit between it and our patio. Perfect, sturdy, we love it, and bonus: sand filter!
