Its power and stability far surpass those of small portable stoves. Used it camping this weekend to make breakfast and another day for pancakes. If I could improve one thing on this grill it would be to add a metal piece on the back for a windscreen. Once burners are hot wind wasn’t an issue, it was just on initial fire up. I don’t particularly like the side plates mounting. Would b better if it was somehow quick connect/discount. Overall worked great. Will try it on fish fry later in year. Reason for getting was to replace coleman stove. Never can get 2 pans on a coleman stove. The regulator that comes on gas line is adjustable but adjusts differently than other models I’ve used in past. You will probably have to play with regulator adjustment to get a hang of it. Overall- great grill. Almost forgot - spark igniter uses a battery, AA I think. I just used lighter ... show more

We live in Arizona and when the temperatures get over 100degrees, the last thing you want to do is turn on the oven or stove and heat the house. With that said, I had to choose a stove for outdoor cooking. This is an awesome item for cooking and I love the side tables, so you have space to set stuff down and actually cook without finding somewhere to put your food and tools while cooking. It heats up great and can boil a huge pot of water or make an Italian size pot of pasta sauce. It's beyond awesome. I did notice some reviews stated there were no directions on how to assemble, so I thought I would help out. It was super easy and I was able to do it by myself (62 year old lady) even with my arthritis. All you need is some pliers and a screwdriver. Since there are no instructions, I took pictures of what is going to go where. I set the stove upside down to start. The legs slip into the corner and tighten with an eye bolt. If you have have strong hands without arthritis, you can hand tighten the eye bolt to hold on the leg. I did have to use the pliers to get a good snug fit to tighten on the legs. Doing this step makes it easier to assemble the rest. You can then attach one of the two side tables. Put the bolt and the nut through one of the two holes on the side of the stove, with the nut on the side towards the burners and the bolt towards the side table. Thread the nut but do not tighten. Then attach the side table, which has a hole that the bolt can slide over and then you can tighten it down with a screwdriver and the pliers. There are two bolts and nuts for each side table. Then you are left with the long silver colored, tube looking hardware pieces. They are used for the utility hooks that hand stuff off the front of the side tables. The long side goes on the front of the side table and the screw fits and threads right in, from the back side of the table and you can tighten with the screwdriver and the pliers. Attach the gas hose by screwing on to the back and viola - you have an outdoor stove!! In conclusion, I hope my instructions helped and I promise you won't be disappointed with this stove!! ... show more

DO NOT BUY!!! DO NOT RISK, your safety and that of your loved ones. This thing nearly burned down my property. The gas regulator, doesn't work, and leaks gas like crazy, the entire thing cough fire, even know the know as at the lowest settings. There is no safety guard, preventing the flames from blowing backwards, and light up the gas tank on fire, which is exactly what happened to me. It took a miracle for me to get there in time and turn off the gas source, with fire raging everywhere. Buy and use at YOUR OWN RISK.!! ... show more

I hate to write nit picky reviews but..... At first glance it looks great but I still haven't figured out where the battery goes for the electronic ignition & since the owners manual is so poor in terms off telling you anything & the print so small it doesn't tell you what battery to get for it. There is a black plastic box at the beginning of the wires so I assume that is where the mystery battery goes but I can't open it up too try & determine what battery goes in it. The side shelves on my barbecue pit fold down & swing back up & lock in place when you need them so I assumed the same for the side shelves on this stove but no they just bolt on & stay there all the time.
