    • Perfect (almost) for mounting a Pioneer AVH-X390BS into my 2007 Ram Laramie
The template itself is worth almost the entire price by itself. At first I was only going to rate it 4 stars for two reasons: (1) The top tabs of the frame were offset a little from the slots in my dash piece, so I had to dremel-grind about an eighth inch off the side of each tab to get them to fit. Even then they didn't snap 100% into place, and in the finished install the top of the frame protrudes slightly downward. But it isn't noticeable at all, it seems firmly attached, and grinding the edges off the tabs took less than five minutes. (2) The pocket is smallish in every dimension. I understand why it isn't as tall as the original, but it doesn't need to be a whole inch narrower or so much shallower than the original. But even with those drawbacks, I can only rave about this dash kit. First, with the template snapped in place I had all the trimming done inside of 10 minutes, no muss, no fuss, it was that quick and simple. Second, the kit frame snapped easily enough into my dash frame. Third, even though there isn't nearly enough horizontal adjustment in the mounting brackets, (with the brackets slid all the way back) my Pioneer radio fit snugly on the first try. And with that I was practically flabbergasted and 100% pleased. And finally, the frame in this kit fit the front bezel of my Pioneer AVH-X390BS almost perfectly, and it looks great. Thus the 5 stars, even with the minor issues described above. I had returned two previous dash kits because of very poor fit for both my dash and the radio. No idea why it's so hard to get it right. But this "Best Kit" does get it right. It was a very pleasant surprise and a very adequate solution all around. I highly recommend it for any 2007-ish Dodge Ram owner who's looking for the easiest and fastest solution to making a 6.2-inch radio fit. ... show more

    • Perfect tight fit
Great Kit for my 2006 mega cab. Fits perfectly! The cut out template is a handy addition that other kits didn't seem to have. Just a few minutes with a bare hacksaw blade and the dash was ready. One thing I might add was that with my particular radio, Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS, I had to file the dash a little where the top clips of the kit snap in. The adapter was really tight on the top of the radio and didn't allow the motorized face to move freely. About 1/8" on each side did the trick. Overall looks great and fits tight.     • Factory look for your Dodge RAM
Installed in 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 Megacab. This kit provides the most OEM look for an aftermarket headunit. No trouble installing the kit. Be advised though, that your truck's bezel is old and fragile. Take your time when trimming your dash by the 1/8" needed for a double DIN install. Dodge is not known for its interior plastic longevity. This kit is a must if you want to make the much needed upgrade for the stock audio unit. An easy improvement you won't regret. ... show more

    • Wish the pocket was bigger

I looked around for double din kit wouldn't make me sacrifice the little pocket directly under the factory radio. I was so happy to find this one for half of what my sound shop was going to charge me. Installation was easy and straight forward as I work on vehicles for a living. Once it came in the mail I was disappointed to find out that the pocket was too small to do anything useful for me. It won't hold my phone anymore, it can no longer hold an extra pack of cigarettes. And there is no lip built in so anything you do manage to get in there is likely to come right back out. It came out looking great. I'm happy with the fit and finish. I can deal with the pocket thing. I would buy it again ... show more

    • Very nice kit 2008 Ram 2500
This fit my 2008 Ram 2500 perfectly. The template was nice to use and the installation was flush to the existing dash. The brackets fits tight and after several months of rough road use it has not loosened up one bit. Great affordable kit.

It works great. The template was a bit off but I was able to carefully trim off a little extra to make it work. I wish the cubby was slightly bigger and there's room for it to be but this is better than the competition which has no cubby at all.

Talk about “keep it simple stupid”. Pop in the template, trim inside pieces, put the kit in, line, everything up, put everything back in place. Looks extremely clean like it came from the factory. Would definitely buy again!
