Starting off I caught a 56 pound Blue November 2022 with this rod. Handled that fish like a champ. Have also caught multiple 30+ pound carp and other species. Light weight rod that's very strong. It has long backbone but a soft tip. You get a good feel when fighting fish so you can feel all the head shakes etc. Match it with the right line and you can bomb 5oz to 8oz weights with live or cut bait no problem. I did not have any issues with shipping or any damages when my rod arrived. It is still in perfect working order since my purchase maybe a year ago. Ordered my second rod from Catfish Pro since I had bought one back several months ago and was I very impressed by it. My second rod was shipped USPS and heavy duty shipping container and rod was broken perfectly in the middle. No problem contacted Catfish Pro.forgot his name but I felt like I was talking to my local bait store. He advised me they never had one broken like this and would send a replacement. He sent rod out that day and you will not believe it but the second rod was broken identical to the first. I actually thought USPS had brought back the rod I had sent back. This time I refused the order and contacted Catfish Pro letting them know of the problem. I have fishing trip planned this weekend with grand boys and I told the gentleman I knew I it would be hard to ship in time. This is where customer service really came in. He told me would ship that same day and I received it today. Catfish Pro was not at fault with the damaged container or fishing rod I blame the USPS what are the chances that two identical items were damaged this way. Looks durable. Haven't tested yet. Came with a slight break on handle. Maybe from packaging or delivery or overlooked quality control. I don't really care. I could find something to wrap it with. Not a big deal to me hence one less star.

Had an issue with USPS's shipping, and was sent a 3' empty box... pulled up a return request and mike JUMPED in my inbox and made right on USPS's mistake, above and beyond customer service. Ended up ordering another to be put in box, so these 2 HEAVY DUTY well built rods show up and i am IMPRESSED! End of rods have hard plastic caps so you wont rough up the foam grips, heavy duty eyelets, and a white tip for night fishing. 10/10 ordering another one soon! You guys are awesome! ... show more

Beautiful rod for catfishing. I like the high vis orange and the glow in the dark tips. bought 5 rods. Str8 out of the box I bent each rod in half with my hand and they didn't break, I was impressed. Also delivery was fast! Said 2-3 weeks and was here in 6 days. I inspected every inch of each rod and the quality was better than expected. I fish the james river,VA and hook 20lb-100lb catfish.
