Description

The Berkley® horizontal rod rack saves space while neatly and securely storing up to 4 or 6 complete rod and reel combos. Use enclosed screws to attach to wood, metal, fiberglass or plastic. Use suitable wall anchor when applying to sheetrock or wallboard. Spacing between mounts vary depending on gear stored - recommended spacing between mounts is approximately 42".

    • Good value - here's some tips for installation and use
The overall installation and use is good - here's some non-obvious tips: 1) use two levels (ok, it might be obvious that you want to use a level, but you'll probably want both a 3 or 4 foot level and a 6 inch level) 2) Measure and use the eyelet distances from each rod you intend to use with this bracket kit before you mount the top section to prevent the "fingers" from interfering with the eyelets of one or more of the rods 3) If you have drywall and don't have a stud other sturdy mounting surface behind all four mounting holes, then you'll want to use some drywall anchors for those mounting points that don't hit a stud (drywall anchors do NOT come with the kit - just really 5/8" screws) and if you DO have a stud behind the mounting hole, then you'll want to get longer screws to ensure you actually bite into the wood with the screw 4) Use some silicone paste (don't need much) to "lube" the surfaces between the fingers of the upper section. This will prevent damage to the styrofoam fingers as you insert and remove the rods That's it. Works great if you follow these tips - might work well regardless, but these are the things I did and its working great for the price for me. My biggest complaint is that I wish the spacing was wider as it would be impossible to utilize all the spots while storing all the rods with reels still attached - this is why I gave it a 4/5 as well as the short screws, lack of drywall anchors and the need for lube to prevent damage to the fingers. ... show more

Bought these to hold fishing rods in my houseboat. They work perfectly. However, if you have different sized rods and you are mounting them overhead, as I did, the shorter rods will sag in the middle. So, because they are so inexpensive, I bought another set and put one in the middle. Problem solved. I would highly recommend these rod holders for the price and ease of installation. ... show more
