Bed frame is solid and sturdy. Easy to put together by yourself. Easy instructions. Make sure you follow them and dont stray from them. (Youll regret it) hardware was cheap and breaks easy. The bed does not come with spares for problems like broken hardware. The top board to head board isnt fully secured because of this. However i am happy with the purchase just be careful when you put it together. ... show more

    • Pleasing to the eye but Flimsy

The bed looks just as pictured but after building the frame, we found it to be very flimsy compared to many many other beds we have built for our short term rental. The joints on both sides that is suppose to hold the front and back of the bed together easily moves and loosened. We had to tighten it several times. The supports under the slats and frame are also very light and not sturdy. We plan on adding more supports for the frame since it’s built, it’s too much to return it. This frame also cost twice as much as the other bed frames we bought for the rental. I’m not sure how long it will hold up being as flimsy as it is. ... show more

I bought 10 of these beds for my rentals. Three of the beds have broken and two others lost their support. The manufacturer only replaced one and stopped responding for the others. Pros: Nice Appearance: The bed has a nice look, and its 16" height is better than the lower height of cheaper brands tall enough to accommodate thicker mattresses. The finish is sufficient to withstand normal usage without scuffs - it is lacquer painted wood and not one of those paper finishes. Cons: The frame design is horrendous. They lack the basic understanding of furniture design and structural support. Split Sideboards: The long sideboards are split in two, causing structural weakness and bending at the joint when the bed is lifted. It is also a place that is prone to breaking easily due to a lack of structural support. The center piece split on two different beds in this location. Poor Build Quality: One sideboard cracked after limited use, and the legs are insufficiently designed to support the bed’s weight. Upon submitting the pictures to the vendor on the bent legs, they refused to replace the legs and explained the bed was moved along the carpet, causing the problem. They admit that their single-bolted legs are insufficient for any lateral movement. My handyman added a support frame as seen in the pictures using 4x4 posts. This is the only way to fix this bed and is a pain. Inadequate Support: The bed lacks full-length support beams, leading to reliance on weak posts, which compromises the overall stability. Overpriced: Given the quality issues, the bed is not worth the price. While I thought Zinus was a cheap brand at first (they make smaller-sized beds, which I am not a fan of), not one of their beds has broken in four years of Short-Term Rental usage. They use metal cross-member supports on at least the vertical side, offering proper weight distribution. I've had to replace four of these beds now, and sometimes the handyman labor costs as much as the bed itself. ... show more

It’s easy or should I say, “not that bad” to put together. The directions label all tool part’s EXCEPT the bed frame itself, there were no labels as shown in directions. It took a few minutes to figure out all the wood parts. The main beam from headboard to foot board is 2 parts, so you do get a seam in the middle, I guess it makes it easier/ cheaper to ship. It would be perfect without the seam in the middle and a bit more sturdy too. The mattress is a14” full and fits well in the frame. ... show more
