  • Very good function and quality.
Style: 27" 4K | Mac-Ready Pantone Monitor | Hot...
This monitor provides a very clear, sharp and large display. The connections and supplied cables were all I needed to connect my Laptop speakers and WiFi. I am using it right now to make this review. I am very pleased with this purchase.

  • Great 4K screen for my Mac Mini M2 16GB/512GB.
Style: 27" 4K | Mac-Ready Pantone Monitor | Hot...
Needed to replace my iMac 5K but didn't want to break the bank so I went for a Mac Mini M2, 16GB/512GB and the BenQ PD2705U 27 Inch 4K UHD IPS screen. The color accuracy is amazing and it is an easy screen to setup. I had no issue updating the firmware through my Mac with the mac software on the BenQ site. It is no replacement for a Apple 5K screen since those are just amazing and I still use the iMac for many things but this screen is very well priced and everything I do in photoshop is good and trustworthy. It has enough ports and with the hockey puck I have no trouble connecting the screen to different devices. If you are replacing your iMac 5K like me and are not willing to pay for an Apple display you will not be disappointed with this monitor. And it has a solid metal base... ... show more

  • Settings were spot on to my 2019 MacBook Pro!
Style: 27" 4K | Mac-Ready Pantone Monitor | Hot...
Almost identical to my 27” 5k iMac! Couldn’t be happier! Connected to and matches my 2019 MacBook Pro to a tee! After having looked at other monitors and even purchasing and returning another I am more than happy with my 27” BenQ. I do professional visual design work and the text is super clean and there is no haloing with color compared to other monitors. The kicker is that it has a KVM switch and wheel for adjusting monitor settings! I was not paid for this review, and bought the monitor and I never give reviews but having gone through other monitors and their shortcomings and frustrations I am moved to give kudos to BenQ. Simply a sublime monitor for professional graphic work! ... show more

  • Best Color Accuracy under 1K
Style: 27" 4K | Mac-Ready Pantone Monitor | Hot...
If you are an editor, mograph designer, etc, and you dont have the funds to dish out 5K for a proper reference display then this is the best bang for your buck since it can be calibrated to less than 08 DE value (which mine is on) and although it says it only covers 99% of rec709, it covers the entire colorspace. SRGB is questionable as well as MBOOK mode, but HDR is actually pretty impressive even though its not real HDR. If you want to use this display to its maximum potential, bypass your OS and get a clean feed. I use an Eizo as my main display but this benq 500 dollar display holds up for webwork 100%. ... show more

  • Excellent!
Style: 27" 4K | Mac-Ready Pantone Monitor | Hot...
I bought this to work with Photoshop (I'm a photographer). I would have gone with an Apple monitor, but I think the BenQ is a worthy competitor, especially in price, which is why I went this way. Good decision! It is a little clunky doing the settings, and the manual isn't the best, but it was worth the minor struggle. Color rendition is excellent! ... show more

  • My nightmare order of 22' destroyed 2x MBPs
Style: 27" 4K | Mac-Ready Pantone Monitor | Hot...
The media could not be loaded. FIrst off, the picture quality is good and very nice for coding. I also bought the PD3220U and it's very similar if not identical even though that’s twice the price. Build quality is good. But... These monitors have a built in passive USB hub. If you connect a USB device(s) asking for too much current it will forward that to your machine in violation of the spec. Where Intel Macs have an SMC to prevent overcurrent conditions like this, the M1 Macs tried to incorporate that into the SoC, but it doesn't correctly prevent the overcurrent condition via a passive USB hub and blows the USB controller in the MB such that it can no longer power devices. This monitor blew the USB controllers of two MacBook Pro M1's in a row and cost me a small fortune and about 4 months of delays (!). Whose fault is it? Hard to say (both Benq and Apple’s). You need all 3 conditions (above spec device(s) current request, passive hub with overcurrent protection missing to save $ on component cost, unprotected controller) to be true to lose the controller. But that was my setup and is 100% not the fault of the user since the user relies on the two safeties that are supposed to be implemented from the spec. When I tried to report this to Benq their CS just ignored me. They also didn't have a firmware update tool for Mac at that time, not that it would help. Well I'm not risking a third MacBook Pro to find out. I tried to use their windows firmware update tool, freshly installing both windows 10 and 11 but it wouldn’t function and provided no error message or log. See attached photo and video. Here is a relevant excerpt from the USB Type-C Specification 1.2 (Revision 1.2, August 2016): "6.2.1.2 Over-Current Protection All USB Type-C ports and hubs shall provide Over-Current protection (OCP) as specified in this section. The OCP function shall protect against over-current conditions on VCONN and VBUS, including conditions caused by a short circuit. An over-current condition is defined as a current level that exceeds the maximum allowed current for a specified period of time." Anyway not for M1 machines. If you used an M1 and the passive built in hub check to see if you can still use powered USB devices. I’m sending mine to Louis Rossmann to document how it destroys MacBooks. Not only did I lose 4 months of productivity and had to return 5k of burned out goods, this purchase was a complete write off. I’ll never buy another Benq product as long as I live. ... show more
